Not until now! But that is because it was at a private conference for Baron Fund investors and he was a surprise performer... http://www.forbes.com/sites/liyanchen/2014/11/08/paul-mccartney-carrie-underwood-star-at-billionaire-ron-barons-investment-conference/

It wasn't really for fans...it was an Investment Conference. They throw these every year.

Individual investors had to have a minimum of $15,000 invested in Baron Funds in order to register. http://www.baronfunds.com/news-commentary/baron-conference/2013-baron-investment-conference/ The "surprise entertainment" was scheduled for 11:30 am and again at 2:45 pm. http://www.baronfunds.com/news-commentary/baron-conference/agenda-2013/

This kind of creeps me out.

What creeps you out? I'm just a tad disappointed. This is like playing a birthday party...for a price.

What, Paul playing for "the man." Remember, he was in that selfie this summer with Warren Buffett so he's got some friends in that field.

Paul is a multi-millionaire. Despite what some people would like to believe, he is more than comfortable hanging out with his financial peers (and if it's also a payday for him, no worries!). Paul's social circle may exclusively consist of Very Wealthy People. And what's wrong with that? Did you see the list of artists who had previously performed at this conference?

Stop. This isn't "hanging out with his peers." This is another gig to play for more people who really don't care about his music. To be fair it was a "secret" gig that was not announced. I just wish he would do something like this for fans on this forum, for example, at a secret location and play a bunch of rarities or solo tunes. Like it or not, it does not look cool for a billionaire to be playing for a bunch of other billionaires. It really not in the spirit of rock n roll or of the Beatles. No matter what you think or say.

Hey, let's hope a lot of money ended up with charities from all attendees out of this. Would like to think so. A blanket going around. Millionaires throwing in rolls of money.

Hey, come on, billionaires are people, too! Who's to say some of them don't have every Beatle-related boxed set? Well, maybe as an "investment," anyway. 😉 It would be nice if Paul could balance this out, as RMartinez says, with a surprise show for the fans. But I don't know how he could possibly plan something just for the fans in a small place, because once it gets out that he's playing in a small venue, EVERYONE will want to go. And if he did it without telling anyone beforehand, it would just be a random audience that might not know all the obscure stuff we'd want to hear. I guess the closest thing recently was that surprise show several months ago at some school in New York, right? But I'm sure no "deep cuts" were played there. I haven't noticed a setlist for this billionaire gig. Is there one out there?

It doesn't say anything in the article about this being a charity event. It is an investor's conference.

With lots of charity "tax deductions", one would expect. A Win-win.

Started with The Pound is Sinking. Apparently a lot of people moved to their phones and a mass exodus after that.

What?? What are you talking about? That's a pretty big assumption. This was a secret gig at a conference about how to make money.
