those yells, yelps and Mccartneyesque screams you embellish your songs with, are really something

It reminds me of something Lenny Kravitz might do!

I am happy to proclaim that years of injesting the brilliance that is Paul McCartney have become etched in my musical psyche!

Yes, I've got a tune for it, audi. I'm gratified you came up with one, too! Go for it if you're inspired and let us see the results, I just think it's so cute and cool that you have one. I can't write music or play an instrument (sobs). "baby I love you," I don't have a tune for that one, but it came out kind of a bit creepy and Gothic in parts of the lyrics. Like "The Cure" style sort of. My tune for "Sass" is kind of acoustic guitar driven like an early Carly Simon song and reminds of her style but also could be given a pop arrangement, I guess. It could be electric guitars instead of acoustic (I guess). Sure am curious what yours sounds like, especially since I've got one, too. Oh yeah it's one of mine, that's why I have my byline there at the bottom
SO, the question is naturally, where is YOUR version of your song?!?
Right here, bro! http://rapidshare.com/files/231024272/Audi_-_You_Got_More_Sass_Than_Class__demo_5-4-2009___all_tracks_.mp3.html When I'd first read Suzy's lyrics, I immediately realized what a potentially great, funky "hook" this song could have. I got the basis for the groove by deciding to keep the focus on our dear Paulie -- after all, he's why we're all here, right? I embellished on his version of the groove-jam song "Bring It To Jerome" (from Back In The US DVD, which is a sound-check bonus track). Still, I had trouble creating an arrangement, but I'm pretty happy with it now. By the way: Everything you hear, I JUST did this morning; it's better than previous attempts I'd made over the past couple of weeks. However -- in true, Audi fashion: It is far from technical perfection. One day, I'll re-do the lead vocal. I don't like the effect I chose all that much, but -- with all that said -- ya'll will definitely feel da' funk! -a
I can't download it
-
has it 'run out' again? maybe audi can 'refresh the link' again" ??? --thanks, fea. hope you get to hear it. audi might be able to fix it so you cn --be on the lookout for a p.m. audi when i get time, later on tonight

Hi, Sus! I'm going to re-do the lead-vocal in the next week or so. Here's an instrumental track (no lead vocal, just the harmony vocals). I'm also going to add some percussive elements to illuminate da' funk!: http://rapidshare.com/files/249628304/Audi_-_You_Got_More_Sass_Than_Class__instrumental_.wma.html Talk to you guys soon!

Thought I'd re-post "You Got More Sass Than Class." I put music to SusyLuvsPaul's lyrics, which she told me was originally a folky kinda' song. I never heard her version, but I felt like writing a new melody/chords:
lyrics: SusyLuvsPaul music/arrangement: Audi Audi -- lead vocal/guitar/bass/percussion Darth_McCartney -- backing vocals/piano/guitar -
audi, that clip just sounded better than ever unbelievable rhythm section going on. Josh laying down a solid bass line you guys (and Susy ) really breaking off some funk!

Thanks! Actually, that's me playing bass on that one. Josh's piano and vocals were totally in the pocket, weren't they?

Huge thrill what audi did for me and my little ditty, his tune sounded so different from mine
