SandraH:
It was a big fun, the "Hotel experience", I felt like in the sixties, a big Beatlemania party. The concert was fun as well, managed to be in the front and love and fun all around me:-) the sound really was not as good as normal, must have been even worse on the tier. my highlights: Letting go, HiHiHi, FourFiveSeconds, In spite of all the danger, Here there and everywhere and as always Band on the Run, Let me roll it and the final.
I took this picture while Paul starts to the arena https://scontent-fra3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/13268104_835160933255484_5217434858038947750_o.jpg Who is sitting next to McCartney; is it his Manager Scott Rodger ?

Has anyone seen the video where Paul comes out (of the hotel I think) and a little boy makes a run at him and security scoops him up and whisks him away? Paul tells security to bring him back and he signs the thing the boy was carrying (photo?) You can tell Paul was mad at the security guy for "man-handling" the poor little boy, who was about 6!

yes I saw it. Here is a video from this situation.
Pauls reaction was very likeable! By the way 1 min later I had a handshake with Paul (the picture at the top was ~ 5 seconds before it happend) -
Wow, what a wonderful evening, what a wonderful experience! Before the concert I was starting to get worried because of all the critical comments about Paul's voice here on the forum. However, luckily, there was no need to worry at all! Paul was in fantastic shape, his singing was fantastic! Paul should definitely keep performing - he is absolutely incredible. I noticed that the sound at the Arena was not really fine - there was some kind of echo, but they adjusted it in the course of the evening. At my seat (10th row) the sound was good. I really would like to thank the people in D?sseldorf - they were all in a party mood: as soon as Paul arrived on the stage, everyone around me got up - and we all danced, clapped and sang along for the whole concert. It was my eighth McCartney-concert in 23 years, and there were some "concert moments" in D?sseldorf that I will treasure forever: *) Paul arriving on stage and the standing ovation *) The intro of "Here, There and Everywhere" (I thought he was going to Play "The Long and Winding Road", but then he accompanied HT&E on piano!) *) His acoustic guitar solo on "In Spite of All the Danger"and the "Oh-oh-oh-oh"-part *) Paul's wonderful vocal performance of "Queenie Eye", "New", "Blackbird", "I've Got a Feeling" and "We Can Work It Out" (which sounded much better than e.g. three/five/six years ago) *) Paul's jokes and German language bits (ordering food: "Gem?seplatte"!) *) The extended jam of "Foxy Lady" *) Meeting Rusty (at the Restaurant "Zum Schiffchen") and Wix (on the street) the day after the concert. Both were incredibly friendly and gave us autographs. THANK YOU! WOW!! ...and there were many more fantastic moments Here are some links to News articles, etc. THANK YOU PAUL! wow you were lucky to meet Rusty and Wix. Unfortunately I didn?t. you are right, the mood was incredible. nobody was sitting. I was so disappointed last year in Oslo and Stockholm as the audience was incredibly boring. D?sseldorf was the double compensation for that. a big big party, at the hotel, in front of the stage, everywhere. Don?t listen to all the people who are so critical. Go to see him live and the world is fine! Looking forward to Berlin!

Great reports, good to read. 1,5 hours from my home, I was longing for a date there in 2012-2015, wish I could've been there this year. Interesting it was such a huge deal this time, in Cologne 5 years ago it was merely a news blip.

Even the Dutch press came over, not even a year after their last review of the show! http://www.oor.nl/share/concert/3066 The gist: "a setlist as adventurous as you can wish for", 27,359 attendees, but "vocally his mid-high is almost gone".

somebody has written on facebook, that they had 8th row and eventim sold their tickets twice (not only theirs, a bunch of people)... they had to sit somewhere else...much worse seats. I think this is unbelievable!!!!!
Wow, you scare me! Any details about how that happened? I have tickets to see Gilmour the next months and those tickets actually returned to sale about ten times during about one hour, before I finally grabbed them. I always clicked on them, but they were not added to my basket, since they were already not available when I clicked on them. Then they were gone for a couple of minutes, then they appeared again. The same tickets. If that happened once, I would understand that somebody dropped them or failed to pay and those tickets would go on sale again, but ten times during one hour? It felt strange, but I thought that it was not the first time oeticket (which is basically eventim) was not selling tickets and they knew what they were doing. Now that I hear such things really happen, I am really kind of scared.

I think what you describe is when people click on buy and then they are reserved for 15 minutes. then people dont buy them and the tickets go on sale again. The problem in D?sseldorf was a system failure.... the fans then called eventim today and they said it was a fault of the organizer. They emailed then and now waiting for refund or something. don?t be scared... I never heard about something like that.

absolutly it was perfect. There were 5 fans that had the same luck. I was the last one who had sucess and the best was Paul had to straighten his arm (which he really did) while his car accelerated ... It was a very kindly experience which I've got nearly complete on video and pictures cause my wife and I could capture it. Later we were in front of the Hotel again while McCartney entered the hotel. And there exist some nice videostuff too. The whole day was the best McCartney adventure we had. But the concert itself was thru the bad sound middle class.

Thank you SandraH, you are most likely right of course, the only think that puzzles me is that the ticket went back so many times. But of course, the probability that there was some fault is really small, I have also never heard of such a problem before. I am really looking forward to seeing Dave, he is one of the very few acts I really want to see and still haven't Anyway, thanks again and sorry for being off topic. If you get any more info on this issue, please let me / us know

Has anyone seen the video where Paul comes out (of the hotel I think) and a little boy makes a run at him and security scoops him up and whisks him away? Paul tells security to bring him back and he signs the thing the boy was carrying (photo?) You can tell Paul was mad at the security guy for "man-handling" the poor little boy, who was about 6!
there are lots of videos (one official), articles, interviews, pictures and reports of that. MACCAMANIA in Germany
The little boy was pushed by his father. They were also in Amsterdam last year waiting at the hotel. The father was really pushing his son to obtain an autograph. The boy did not succeed then, because of security guys and the father was not amused. I feel sorry for the little boy, he had to wait for hours and hours around at the hotel and I doubt if he cares about Paul at all. ....

A good example of parents "using" their kids.
