Coconut Flour Pancakes, Green Tea

HaileyMcComet:
You'd think everywhere would have free wifi these days.
I'm in a little town, which explains that. Burger King's coming out with its own hot dogs (should be, you know, veggie hot dogs but they won't be) and hell of it is I might try one to see what it's like, knowing its a No No and I shouldn't... McLean Burger. That's the name of the long gone lamented McDonald's veggie burger. Burger King had one, for a short while. The McLean Burger tasted better.
-
At the new natural wood little grocery in town, browsing today I came across packaged frozen "alligator meat"--ugh (They said it tastes like chicken!) I will go back, though and buy low sugar (almost sugar free) "Pecan Pumpkin Butter" (looked similar to apple butter) from "the Amish country"). Have found no sugar added fig jam before, there, also from the Amish, which was fairly tasty.

My sister likes pimento cheese or deli sandwich stuff, on raisin bread, well I'm just glad she likes anything since she's so completely calorie conscious--but I must protest some of her more dubious practices health-wise. For instance, meat twice a day is bad. (Or ever, many would say). Sometimes she has it twice a day.
-
I'm into banana sandwiches, tomatoes sandwiches, roasted, steamed or sautéed vegetables, and Thai peanut noodles (without meat) lately and from now on, and have been, in the past and wish to sustain that, now and not get tired of such fare
-
Some meatless meals I like, all simple, include: Large baked potato topped with spicy jalepino pimento cheese, sour cream, butter substitute all melted, plus serving of roasted veggies. Sliced peaches. French toast made with whole grain bread, cinnamon added. Veggie sausage links. Mandarin orange slices. (sometimes with grits or eggs) Almond butter and sugar free jelly sandwiches Egg, cheese and onion in multigrain English muffin, with fruit salad grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup Large salad with fixings including imitation bacon bits Large banana topped with lowfat mayo, with roasted veggies

KFC is coming out with a beige colored nail polish that smells like chicken fat Budweiser Beer is calling itself "America" beer because of the upcoming election. Something like that

I heard about America, but that KFC one has to be a joke.

I know, Hailey, sounds like a joke, but I read both of these in "Time" magazine I discovered Sunflower Butter, it's a peanut-butter like spread made from sunflower seeds, it's quite edible and appealing. You went on a spectacular tour of Asia "from one end of Asia to the other!" Did you dance and sing your way across, or was this a sightseeing jaunt? Any pix to share? A friend went to Ireland and posted a lot of pix, the one of them trying to kiss the Blarney Stone was hilarious--it's not easy to achieve

I went from Hong Kong to Israel. That's one end to the other, but I didn't go anywhere in between. I went to one or two places and ignored the rest of the continent. So I toured Asia about as much as Paul does. There was some dancing in Israel, but not a lot of singing this time. I took a lot of pictures. I'll put a few online for you one of these days.

Thank yew, Ms. Hailey, we would love to see some! Have you ever tasted Sunflower Butter?

I've never even heard of it. I mostly use New Zealand butter.

Tried to get my sis I live with now more interested in food, since my other sis, my brother and Daddy all showed a bit of inclination to anorexia and this sis might too as she's so concerned with calories--and I've succeeded all too well, found myself per her request going around this huge foodie warehouse (Walmart Neighborhood store) writing down various items which boast the lowest fat and sugar count. I hadn't eaten in many hours and was about to faint from low blood sugar as I traipsed around with my notebook jotting things down. A lot of it didn't look very appetizing, though. I went back another time to get the lowdown on ice cream (loads of ice cream stuff) and more frozen entrees. Next have to write up the cookie and soda offerings. I guess she'll have me doing this at more big grocery stores This feels like one of the Seinfeld t.v. show weird episodes that pop up in my life. That seems like a Seinfeld comedy telly show

Non-fat Greek Yoghurt with only 8 grams of sugar is a worthy product. Have noticed frozen dinners don't have enough vitamins Plain non-fat Green yoghurt with your own fruit added in is best, yoghurt-wise. LOL I meant "Greek" yoghurt

Frozen dinners are mostly pretty terrible. If you want healthy food that tastes good, packaged, processed grocery store items aren't the way to go.

I know. Someone charged they contain "phosphates" and said that's bad for you too. We resort to these all too often and one reason is the kitchen's so hot (we don't have central air conditioning) and a hot stove makes it hotter still.
-
There are a million things you can make that take less time than cooking a frozen dinner.

Susie there is a green tea extract you can buy, or order online. It comes with a dropper and you can put a dropper full of the green tea extract in lots of things! Just switched permanently to Almond milk. Didn't know that our milk is banned in Europe Trying to figure out what to do with baking now? Any pointers would be great. Thanks!
-
Most of my European milk shopping was at Franprix and Monoprix. They had a pretty wide variety.
-
Don't know much about baking A very easy "dish" is putting uncooked oat meal in a jar, pour in almond or coconut or soy milk, whatever you prefer, add real fruit toppings and place in fridge overnight--actually it takes just a couple of hours. It's easy and nutritious. And meatless, of course.

Great idea about the green tea extract, thanks! I got a nice buzz the first time I tried sugar free green iced tea.
