      1. Everthing, except meat, fish and chicken. More fruits and vegetables.... 2. Things like this...

. I became a veggie this year... 3. Not at all, on January 1 2009 I said: no more meat, fish and chicken. And has been that way since then. I thought it would be harder, but it was so easy for me...

and eggs. 2. Why? It was about 13 years ago. Paul and Linda were encouraging their fans to be a veggie. I thought then: OK. I love animals. I don't want to eat them. I lostened to Paul and it was very good choise. 3. It wasn't hard. I said: no more meat from today. I didn't missed meat at all. I like fruits, vegetables and that's enough. So, be a veggie

Because vegetarians have a healthier lifestyle and I don't like animals being killed for consumption. I don't eat meat or fish, not that I like fish anyway!

i'm a veggie because we once saw a very cruel film at school (slaughterhouse ... ) that really made me think about eating meat and that stuff then so now i'm a vegetarian for about 3 months i don't miss eating meat at all and i'm very happy to do my bit for a change (well, sort of ...)

I need the Beatles eight days a week ....

I am a pescetarian so I eat no meat but I eat fish. I want to become a vegetarian but my parents told me that I should gradualy become one so I still have to eat fish which annoys me. Mostly it's cause my dad thinks that if I don't eat fish I won't get enough protein so I promised him I would eat fish for a few more months. I decided to try to become a vegetarian because my mum used to be a vegetarian and I remember her telling me how it wasn't hard and there is lots of products that can easily replace meat and the other reason is that I needed a recipe for school as we had to adapt a dish so I decided I would make vegetarain lasagne the recipe I used came from a Linda McCartney cook book and I ended up reading this stuff in the front of the book about how easy it is to become a vegetarian and that was when I started thinking how cruel it is to kill animals for us to eat. Then on holiday in france I went to a resturant and they had a tank of lobsters so you could choose which one you wanted to eat and I just ended up staring at the tank and feeling really bad and sick the whole time. Luckily no one orderd lobster but that was when I told my parents I wanted to be a vegetarian. peace xxx

There are many different reasons why I have decided to become a vegetarian as of a month ago. One is that I never felt right about eating meat, it also made me feel quite ill at various points in the last few years. Watching a video of chickens being slaughtered has put me of poultry for life, however I suppose Paul has in a way directly influenced me to go veggie and I would like to thank him for that as I have never felt healthier and i feel better!

I have now been a vegetarian for about a month! As I did post that I ate fish due to my parents saying I shouldn't go from eating meat to eating no meat at all. But I finally managed to convince my parents to let me stop eating fish! (I don't think they actually thought I was going to keep this veggie thing up! Well they were wrong!) I am actually not missing meat. I feel a lot better without it!

I'm an ovo-lacto-veggie. I still eat eggs and cheese, so I'm not a vegan. The main reason is because when I first became veggie to try it, I felt so much better without eating meat. Eventually I just stopped altogether, and I do think it's healthier. At least I don't think you'll find many obese vegetarians. It's cheaper to be a veggie than a meat eater, too. Now I don't even like most meat or fish, and there are enough protein alternatives that I do not miss it. As for newbies who don't know if they can continue to be one, it has been 35 years for me. As Paul and Linda would say...GO VEGGIE!

Because I don`t want to be a part of cruelty. I`m a vegan. No offense, KimL, but, if you eat fish, you are not a veggie of any sort.

but nature cruel isn't it? I had a fawn taken by a cougar or linx's the other day in my yard. Not to say it not unsetting but it nature's way. If man/woman lived on veggies alone than explain how they survive in winter. I think it a choice but hardly saving the world from cruelty.

It's nature to take what you need lions don't lock up their prey and treat them horribly like humans do. We don't NEED to eat meat we eat it for pleasure. Also out in nature they don't kill so many creatures as we do a day. It makes me sick how much meat we produce . x

I became a vegetarian because i love animals and hate cruelty and inflicting pain onto others. I became a vegetarian when i was 8. I used to volunteer at the local farm and became very attached to all the animals especially the piglets (i've always loved pigs). Oneday i went to the farm to find all the piglets had gone so i asked where they'd gone and that was the moment i realised i'd been eating animals and i think i cried. As soon as i got home i begged my parents to let me be vegetarian they said i had to wait a month thinking i'd forget and change my mind but i can be stubborn and didn't forget. So i am 16 now and been a vegitarian since i was 8 and am planning to be a vegetarian for the rest of my life. I will be a vegan when i leave home as my parents wont cook vegan food for me. I'm a normal vegitarian don't eat: meat, fish, gelatine anthing that is made from an animal. Paul is such an inspiration making amazing music and being so caring for the world and it's creatures xx

I've been mostly vegetarian for almost 30 years. The thought of eating a dead animal upsets me. Even growing up I faired best when it was in an abstract form i.e. ground beef. Thanksgiving is the worst for me as I wrestle with a big dead turkey in my kitchen sink for the family. ( My dog watches and thinks I am a god then.)I personally, do not need to eat meat to be healthy so I choose not to.

I've been a vegetarian since I was 14 because I'm an animal lover & felt like a hypocrite ... telling my Dad to 'stop fishing ... you're hurting them' & then eating meat. So, I decided to give up meat at 14 ... I never ate the meat that was 'named' meat, if that makes sense ... like, fish is obviously a fish, lamb is an animal, as is chicken. I ate burgers & sausages, because they were just words to me ... but, when I realised what they were & where they came from, I start to 'grow a consciounce' My Dad is bugging me about this for the past 16 years ... & I *need* to prove him wrong, so please give me the answer to this!!! If everybody stopped eating meat, what would happen to the animals??!! Dad says that if we all stopped eating meat, that the animals wouldn't exist ... I suppose, there wouldn't be as many animals bred each year!! I adore all animals & I agree with SO MANY of your earlier posts. What gives us humans the 'right' to kill an animal for meat?! There are SO MANY other food products, you don't HAVE to eat an animal. And, I'm sorry, I totally disagree ... I think fish DO have feelings. Why shouldn't they?! And, do you know what, so what if they don't!! Does that give us the right to 'hook' them & bash them on the head?? I must admit, the way I got my Dad to stop fishing was I threatened to get my lip pierced (my eyebrow was done at the time, so he knew I wasn't bluffing!! haha) & he promised to 'cut back' ... eventually, I got into his head & as he hit the last fish on the head, he actually threw up a little. I'm glad I got inside his head because my Mam & I were begging him to stop fishing for years!!! I even hid his rods, but he found them. He claimed to want the 'peace & tranquility' that you only get down by a quiet river ... I told him to bring a bloody camera & take pictures!! Anyway, sorry about this loooooong message xxx

Hmm well i think he may be right sadly cause i reckon the farmers and people who breed the animals would start to run out of money to look after them and most of them would probably be killed =( buut maybe there would still be a few farms or places where farm animals woudl be kept. The animals that we eat are the animals that have been bred for meat and other certain uses so those animals don't exist in the wild but of course there are wild pigs and cows. I'm really not sure but my parents have said to me that they would all probably be killed. Anyway i'm not sure what i'm going on about lol so i will shut up now xD xxx

Well, I think that there would still be some people like us veggies, who would assure that cows, chicken and other animals that were formally eaten, would still be bred to assure that didn't become extinct. I think that it would be cool to have a pet chicken, pig or cow!

The simple answer is that thes animals would die out in the countries to which they are not native.
