http://cjme.com/story/mccartney-crew-cant-eat-meat-while-preparing-show/126290 error about 'vegan' in the article though, but excellent nonetheless

Yes, but it`s been the case ever since `89/`90. He isn`t a vegan. I suspect they think he`s a vegan because he doesn`t eat fish!

hehe yeh, the 'usual'

simplyrahil why are you not having a go at macca for not being a Vegan like you do to everyone else? Or do you only pick on normal people and not your idols?
-
Boggle, why aren't you 'having a go' at yourself for not being vegan? that said, i have expressed at other times that i am not happy that Sir Paul is not vegan. no vegan is happy about anyone not being vegan. Sir Paul knows enough to be vegan and not just vegetarian, which is why he should be vegan, for the sake of the animals, for the same reasons he is vegetarian. i have no idea why he isn't vegan. but, he is a huge influence on making many aware of what goes on and to go at least vegetarian is a big step away from funding the constant abuse and violence against animals going on. and this is in itself laudable, but not the all in all. i hope he will go vegan and propagate this as well as he has been wonderfully doing with all the vegetarian/animal-rights efforts for some 30 years now.

With all the spices and herbs and many various kinds of cheeses and vegetables and fruits...and the resultant**[color=goldenrod] infinite** possible number of recipe combinations. I am surprised that there aren't more restaurants open that try to appeal to the higher middle ground.

Has Paul ever commented on the subject of being a vegetarian rather than a vegan? I'm curious to read something about this particular choice of his.

He has a few times. Beatrice is vegan - which makes me think he is probably vegan quite a bit of the time.

yes i wondered about that too
and yes, would be great if he could openly address this issue, since after all, we know that just vegetarian is not tackling the issues that he himself has shown himself to be caring about
... the logical conclusion of 'glass walls' is veganism...

Could you perhaps post some links, or quote some statements of his? i'm really curious!

Isn't James vegan too? i think Paul mentionned a long time ago that James was "vegan and healthy" (i think at the time he was 18 or so)

yes James is reported to be vegan

very beautifully done! hopefully it's at least veg*n too
(especially since it's 'for Paul')
-
Superbly done Korean fans! If there's eggs in it I guess that makes it not Vegan. But isn't Paul a Vegetarian and they eat eggs, right?

Paul's stated he is not a vegan. he and Linda raised their own animals

"veg*n" is a widely used typed form for 'either vegetarian OR vegan' so i stick to my comment - hopefully the cake is VEG*N (since it's for Paul)

Nancy R:
But isn't Paul a Vegetarian and they eat eggs, right?
Sir Paul is a vegetarian, but that doesn't mean HE 'eats eggs'. yes, there are people who call themselves 'vegetarians' who do eat eggs, but those are called 'ovo-vegetarians' (and others who consume eggs and dairy who are called 'ovo-lacto-vegetarians') but the term 'vegetarian' by itself is what it indicates. 'vege', not animal. as for Sir Paul, i doubt he eats eggs, not after doing the 'glasshouses' exposé documentary which shows enough for him to shun eggs.

Well, I did read that he and Shevell ate quiche louraine, among other things--it's a light fluffy pie made with eggs and cheese--on their famous Route 66 Western road trip jaunt. This "wedding anniversary" cake is really colorful and cute. It's charming
