Please share! Your favorite moment, your favorite concert! For me, it was Yankee Stadium! Paul was recklessly brilliant! Please share your favorite show and if you can, why!
Too tough to pick a favorite show but I would say that I probably had the most overall fun at the December 2011 Liverpool show. Favorite moment is literally impossible for me to choose so I will say the first time I saw him play which was "I'm Down" at the CFNYC cause I finally got the monkey off my back and saw him live (even though obviously I wish that show never had to take place)
I agree. A great moment in music history, however, an awful moment in our American history. But we're strong, and we believe that we can't be wrong!

Favorite concert would be broken up between Wings (1976) at Madisonn Square Garden because it was the first time I saw McCartney live and the 1989 show in Madison Square Garden because I had great seats. (3rd row on floor - my boss at the time had big time connections). My favorite moment was the show I saw in Charlotte NC with my wife and twenty-something daughters. At one point, my oldest daughter turned to me and asked me why McCartney plays so many different guitars. About one second later, McCartney says to the audience, "Bet you wonder why I play so many guitars, because I liked to show off". It was like he was answering her question and she almost died laughing.

Denver 2010 because I was surprised at the last minute with a first row seat! I saw my ticket I started shaking and crying! wah! It was AMAZE to make eye contact with the heaviest level musicians in the world as they played and sang. To turn around and see the massive number of people in the crowd! The most important music of my whole life. SO many details stick in my mind. Rusty using a drumstick taped to his mic to hold his slide. he could have anything but he used that basic setup! Brian playing tambourine onstage then throwing it to the roadie who stood right in front of us. Seamless! But Paul especially, so gracious, because he saw me taking a picture and trying to get it right and he held his stance until he could see I got the shot. I will never forget! A once in a lifetime pinnacle! There are moments of every show of course but that was really a trip. I got one picture of Paul looking right over at me, if anyone wants to see it. clickable thumbnail

Liverpool 2010, because I was the closest to the stage then, so I could make eye contact with Rusty and Paul, and because I met Paul then.

Well, I'm must give you three, sorry 1. Opening chords of Venus and Mars at the first show of Wings Over America in Fort Worth, TX, 1976. 2. Encore of Kansas City in Kansas City, May 1993. 3. "This is for all the Wings fans!", as Paul rips into '1985', Phoenix, 2010.
-
I guess it would have to be the one in São Paulo in which Paul saw me asking for his guitar pick and threw it on my hands from the stage. Too bad someone else got it instead.
-
My favorite concert experience was when I got a chance to get 5th row tickets the day of the concert!! I never really want to sit further back again!! i was right in front of Brian and what a difference the show is, than from further back! I could see everyone clearly and see them playing the instruments.....Absolutely the best concert experience and Paul show evaaa!!

Posts like this make me think that I will HAVE to spring for a sound check package and up close seats the next time I get to see him! (See how optimistic I am?) Until then, I have separate favs for separate reasons: 1) 2002 in Dallas. This was the second time I had seen him and the first time I had seen him in. I much prefer arena shows over stadium shows! I went to this show with my daughters and that made it very special for me. 2) 2002 in OKC and 2009 in Tulsa - I never in a million years thought he would come to Oklahoma TWICE! 3) 2012 in St. Louis - His voice was the best I've ever heard it.

If you can see the gif at the bottom..the bear that is in front of me was picked up by Paul at the end of the show..I still don't remember what happened when he walked to the edge of the stage! I just went into a trace! The drive by for the sound check can be seen on Youtube..liverpoolbride1. It was a dream come true..Pittsburgh in 2010..it was a nightmare!

In Detroit when after Here Today, Paul said if you love someone, tell them. I screamed out, "I love you," and he answered back, "I love you too, babe." I got called babe....

For me it was Montevideo, April 15 2012...what a wonderful day! I traveled from Chile the same day Paul arrives to Montevideo, we arrived with a few minutes of difference, and I had only a ticket for the concert, but...I don't know who guided me to the soundcheck, was like a dream...I was standing at the bus' stop when I saw the big trucks going to the Centario Stadium, I thought: Oh! those are Paul's trucks!!!! and I followed his route..I came to the stadium' doors and in one of those places there was not guards...and I come in, and stayed there for 6 hours until he appeared on the stage, I joined with the people who has his ticket for the sound check, and no one notice that I didn't have the little blue ribbon in my arm... I saw him, took him photos and a few videos...I couldn't believed how lucky I was! And I forgot, I am in the video that they recorded at those wonderful afternoon. That was my best Paul's concert

My fav live Macca experinence of the 4 I have had was when i saw him at Hammersmith in 2010. Everything about that gig was just...perfect. From getting a half day of work just to ensure I had a ticket, so lucky as they seemed to sell out in almost 3 mins, to the day of the gig itself with heavy snow cancelling most public transport, just getting on that one train to London then arriving at the venue, at last! I was there, and then the wait was so exciting after that mission. The gig itself was just sheer excellence and I still think about it often. I was around some very cool fans which helped and we was near the stage with genral admission, everyone standing and no seats! Fantastic! Macca comes out and opens with Magical Mystery Tour, just brilliant and I swaer we made eye contact during that number, Macca looking at me and smiling his head off, as he does. I also think I got a "you were great" acknowledgment at the end but not quite sure if for me or someone else. Such a great vibe in a rather intimate (well, for Macca at least) setting and so perfect just before xmas! I was really happy he "dusted down" Wonderfull Xmas Time, despite the fact we all get sick of hearing it every year, it was just fantastic and really got me in the xmassy vibe. Set list was great (well, for me anyway as it was only my 2nd macca gig) and it really was one of the all time best gigs I have attended, and that is saying quite something. AND I remember that afterwards, by the merch stall I spotted a chap who looked almost EXACTLY as Lennon circa 1980. Wow! Brilliant brilliant brilliant!
