Paul, Come To Australia
-
It seems to be that this is Macca's final world tour and he promised to come to Australia and to many other countries as well! We'll just have to hope that he still will, albeit, a bit later. He's not as young as he thinks he is and what he used to be, so he better come soon. As long as he doesn't miss Adelaide and the Cavern Club we have here.!
-
I think all this talk of Paul doing a world tour is pure conjecture.I don't think you should believe the press when it comes to whether Paul will tour or not.I can see fans in Oz being a little pissed that he canceled a few years back,as it was a lame excuse, but don't lambast him again until the facts are correct and not hearsay.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all you Aussies out there. Hope its not too hot and I hope you all a relaxed and happy day PS Had a dream last night that Paul announced he was touring Australia and another country (which I can't remember). Strange! Lets hope it means something positive.

For all you Brisbane people, The Troubadour (Fortitude Valley) is holding another Beatles night on Friday 13 Feb. with all ticket sales going to Medecins Sans Frontieres. There will be about 6 local bands playing Beatles. I went to the one last year and it was fantastic. Here's the info if you're interested: http://www.thetroubadour.com.au/events/

Bit late...but just dropping by to wish all other Aussies on the board a Happy Australia Day! The best country on God's green Earth...with or without Macca!

Hey thanks QueenBee for thinking of us down here. Yeah I'm so hoping he decides to visit us before he gets too much older and decides he wants to retire. I've never seen Paul live so it would be a dream come true for me.

Hey Belinda I agree with you he should come but maybe hes not because hes busy with all his new albums which are awsome! But rememeber he never lets his fans down as i heard (and i believe them)

SIR Paul McCartney expects to tour Australia for the first time in almost 15 years, after cancelling his 2002 concerns in the wake of the Bali bombings. But he said he was waiting for life to get back to normal before he confirmed his touring plans for 2008. "Next year I am starting to plan some touring, but I don't know how much," he said. McCartney, who last toured here in 1993, said he would have to wait until his divorce from Heather Mills was finalised. "I have been dying to get to Oz for an awful long time," he said. "I'm planning it. I'm hoping for it." Your words Macca - your words. Get over 'ere will ya!!!
-
Did any of you go and see Neil Young? I saw him twice. Great shows.

No Macca, but at least Abe's here with Eric Clapton! Hopefully he enjoys his time here and raves about it to his boss... :

Is Paul ever coming back to Australia? For anything? Maybe not an all out tour, but to promote that game coming out, or anything? I missed the tour last year and I'd give anything to see him, just once. Does anybody know anything?

I posted this a few weeks ago... -- Recently there was conjecture that a proposed OZ tour has been cancelled due to the state of the dollar. Hell, tour aside, I'd settle for 1 appearance in Australia a la Kiev, Quebec, etc. It's not looking bright, so last year I went to Liverpool and last week to Las Vegas to see him.
-
Ohhh... didn't he come out last year? Coz I heard that there was a planned tour to come out here for 2008 as well, but I wasn't as obsessed a fan then so I figured that I must've just missed it. That's a huge relief that I didn't! I hope he comes out. I can't afford to go overseas to see him and I'm afraid that he's going to stop touring before I can afford it... if i ever can afford it
-
nah you didnt miss it, wasnt the last time he toured was in 1993?
-
Has anyone heard about the 'Classical Mystery Tour' thats touring Australia in July??
