Paul, Come To Australia
-
Maybe there's a bit of bad blood from 13 years ago. Paul certainly wasn't at the height of his powers in 2002, especially out here. So bad ticket sales and what have you. But in recent years, say the last 5 or so, there has been a massive resurgence out here with Beatles popularity. I'm thinking that maybe him and his crew don't know this and think that the number of people that actually want to see him are just as minute as last time.
-
Perhaps he thinks the whole nation is still in mourning...

Time wounds all heels.

I could accept your explanation if NO ONE ever played in Australia. But other big acts, like the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, perform there all the time. They make money. They sell tickets. There is no hidden mystery.
Perhaps they sell more tickets than Paul and / or are a bit cheaper and leave the promoters with more profit. I still think it's Australian's promoters fault and not Paul's.

Well, nothing is ever Paul's fault!

It's coming. Even McCartney can't escape it.

Hey, Ringo is doing a free concert here paid for by a Mobile Phone company (Movistar). Perhaps since Australians are not willing to buy tickets to see Paul he should play for free and have a sponsor pay for it? lol

A residency in Hawaii! Or Vegas!!

That would be fun, for Paul to play Honolulu--is it not big enough for him? What's the population? Surely many from all over those islands would hustle to hear him It's fun that he's gonna play South Korea, had never played there before You got to be kidding me--Macca flopped in Oz, in '02? Not many wanted to see him, poor ticket sales? Did that really happen? Or not happen
-
I'm not a fan, but now even Madonna might return here after 2 decades. If that happens...that leaves only McCartney as THE one sole hold out.

Looks like Madonna is confirmed to play Australia and Asia in 2016. So it would seem that Paul is the holdout, as you say.

Still, I wonder why it took Madge so long to head back down Under...

Pleased for the poms but seriously, Japan (late Apr) to UK (May) ? We were in the neighbourhood FFS...even 1 bloody concert we'd have taken. Not feeling the love. Sick of being kicked in the guts.
