Paul, Come To Australia
-
He can STICK IT!
-
"Soon, man...soon!"
-
Nuh. Commonsense says Australia/NZ after Japan/Sth Korea. He couldn't be shagged, pure and simple. He's got a bug up him for whatever reason. As if he'd fly here SPECIFICALLY to perform. I've Had it.
-
Going to take a break from him. Can't watch him or listen to his music right now. Touring non-stop since 2002...no time for us. No time for him. Seriously: 22 years and still waiting. He ain't never coming back.
-
Good luck all who are seeing him because although we are all fans... he values your patronage more than ours. Way to go, Paulie...
-
So already this year in Oz I have seen The Eagles, Rod Stewart and Ed Sheeran with Fleetwood Mac and ACDC confirming shows for later this year too. Still no sign of anything from Paul though... :

Don't forget the Rolling Stones played there!

I havent forgotten - I was there! lol. It was last year though. I did leave out Paul Simon and Sting though who were here earlier this year too. Seems like everyone is keen to come here apart from you know who..

Yup. Now you know what it's like to live in New Mexico!!

I feel for you Australia. What if you started a viral campaign? Set up a twitter and Facebook page. Come up with a hashtag #MaccaDoTheOz - obviously something better and let us know on the board. I'm sure all of us that have an account would re-tweet and share. You could make a YouTube video and ask people to reply with their own quick video telling Paul they go see him, why they're fans, etc. Make sure that all this get's sent to Paul's twitter account etc. Get some initial momentum going then contact Australian press - maybe they could write up a quick little blurb about it...

He knows where we are. Aussies don't kiss arse.

I must say, we appreciate your post, but the guy is a sharp end of a needle insofar as we are concerned.

If Australian promoters don't offer Paul's management an attractive bit of money, he will continue not performing there. To quote Paul, "it's as simple as that"

That's relative. Surprising how any other act, from stadium status to venue status, manage to play the Australian market.

Exactly. Same with New Mexico. Almost EVERYONE has played here. Even Paul McCartney played here in 1993!!
-
Hahaha so you guys are saying Paul is offered millions to perform in Australia and refuses to go there for some obscure reason? Did any of you Australians contact the regular big concert Promoters and ask if they tried to hire Paul?

No, that's not what we are saying. To think the solution lies in hands of the promoters - who managed to succeed to get over almost any stadium status touring artist from The Rolling Stones to Paul Simon & Sting to Eminem to One Direction to Foo Fighters to Taylor Swift to Coldplay to U2 to AC/DC, plus any worldwide festival headliner from Arctic Monkeys to Blur to Pearl Jam to Arcade Fire to Red Hot Chili Peppers and so on over in the last few years - is very naive. Paul McCartney is the odd one out. Not their problem that they can't justify bumping up the already insane ticket price even more, because the people will not pay even more than it already is.

I would enjoy going to Australia for a McCartney tour. It would be a historical event, almost like the Beatles' 1964 tour. Fingers crossed!
