His Lonesome Jubilee tour was one of the very best I've seen. And an absolute cracker of an album. Glad he has moved on from the female Cesar Romero too.

And all this time I thought it was fixed that Rousey would win...... got that wrong! Well done to Holly Holm..... heard her on a couple of interviews on radio and she came across really well. Good on her!.... I'm really not a fan of the sport but the build-up was huge in Melbourne! Well done to Holly!

We all wanted her to at least go the distance. When she knocked out Ronda in the 2nd round with that kick, we went crazy! Then I got to play music in the venue after. YES, we played Beatles tunes! Also, I could not help think as I watched, "Paul could play that arena/stadium!"

That is the very stadium he was scheduled to play in 2002.

That is frustrating, from what I saw on TV it would be great for a Paul show.

Hi Guys Just want your opinions on Ringo selling all his Beatles stuff, including the oyster pearl drum kit that he used in the early recording and performing years and the guitar John gave him. WTF is wrong with him???? First he refuses to sign auto graphs now he is doing this. Is he broke or something? It is almost as if he is trying to wipe any connection with The Beatles from his past. The ironic thing is if he had not been in the Beatles, no one would know who Ringo Starr is!!!Rory storm and the Hurricanes didn't exactly conquer the world. I cannot ever imagine Paul doing this, even Yoko hasn't sold off Johns stuff. What is your opinion? Cheers Chrissie

Do you still wear the clothes you wore in high school? Probably not.

I think it's his business and I don't care. Guess what? If Paul McCartney had not been in the Beatles, no one would know who he is. Same with John and George. In fact, had Ringo not joined the Beatles, they may have broken up and never put out an LP. So, I would not worry about it. Maybe he is the more generous one willing to share Beatle collectibles with the world.

No idea, but the proceeds from the auction are going to his Lotus Foundation charity, so he's not doing this to make money. Apparently he and Barbara just own a lot of stuff; he's 75 and as they say, you can't take it with you when you go. Maybe he has other drum kits that he is keeping, but he doesn't need all of them, who knows? Doesn't bother me at all; it's his stuff, he can do as he likes with it.

Very disappointing opinions guys. I was concerned more about the history of these items and presumed he would want to keep them in his own family, not have some rich American own them. If he doesn't care about these items why doesn't he donate them to a museum so everybody can enjoy them. I guess if you are not an original Beatles fan and wheren't around in the 60's, you would not understand where I am coming from. Cheers Chrissie

I find your opinion disappointing. It is really Ringo's decision, not yours. Or ours. If you are such a fan, write him a letter of complaint instead of criticizing us. Not sure where you are coming from, but those instruments are tools they used for their trade, not something to be adored and worshipped. As someone already said, Ringo has made the very generous decision to generate funds and promotion for a charity he supports by doing this. Not sure why this is keeping you awake at night.

Why are you being so aggressive and nasty? You have no idea who I am so the criticism could have been kept to a minimum after my first post. The Beatles drum kit in question just like Paul's hofner is iconic, not just any old tool of trade, as you put it. I was one of the originators of this post and it has always been an open and pleasant forum. I did not expect the reaction from the three posters who answered my first post to be so negative. And please, rmartinez, do not question my devotion as a lifelong Beatles fan. We obviously have a difference of opinion and I did not criticise anyone!!! Let's just LET IT BE Cheers Chrisse

The instruments in question went on sale today! Hope it doesn't ruin your weekend! Cheers Rmartinez
