You guys Mecca isn't coming to Au's... ops: I inquired for you guys sorry...
Yeah we kinda figured over the course of this thread (13 years or something?), but thank you!! As said many times it's extremely lame that it "can't" (won't) happen with a guy of his status. It would be great to see him give an honest answer as to why he "can't" make it here.
He has been asked directly...he lies.

Do you honestly think he will say "Promoters in Oz won't pay my fees because they are afraid sales might be slow and they will lose money, them bitches"?
-
It hasn't even got anything to do with that at this point, I already singled out many times that Australia gets plenty of touring acts from stadium level to arena level to all the venue acts in the circuit in the summer. Just not Paul McCartney. There is something more to this.

I agree. If other acts avoided Australia, I could see it. But Madonna, U2 and The Rolling Stones play there, and they are as hot of a ticket. Something is up. Maybe it is the promoters and not Paul? I don't know.

If Paul really wanted to play, he would. He's Paul fn McCartney, the dude isn't a slave to his promoter.

Perhaps it's freaking Oz promoters who wont come up with the required cash upfront because of what happened in 2002. Same thing happened in my country this year. Promoters couldn't come up with the requested American Dollars upfront so the negotiations moved to next year.

Not at all but it would be the least he could do at this point surely!

Too busy counting his loot and singing love songs to the Earth. Of course his Earth omits Australia and New Zealand.

And Springsteen (twice recently), The Eagles tour often. Foos... Everyone visits here.

Yeah. Honestly, the number of big acts coming to New Mexico has fallen. They used to come more in the past than currently. That does not bode well for a New Mexico McCartney concert. I think I'll go watch an episode of Breaking Bad...

Cook some meth like Walter White does and travel to see Paul anywhere in the US

That's illegal. Though what Paul charges these days is a crime!!

I am sure it is much easier for Americans like yourself to shed 2 grand for a concert ticket than for any of us poor South Americans earning our salaries in depreciated pesos or reais.

That's not the point. I'm just not going to. If you can't afford to, you shouldn't. I choose to put my money into other things. I have seen Paul eight times, paid $9, $25, $35, $150, and $250 and that's enough for me. If he played Albuquerque, I would buy a high end ticket. Since that's not going to happen, I will buy concert tickets to artists who do play here. Like Ringo, Elton, Eric, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and many others.

But they're not McCartney!

That's why they get my money! As a member of the Beatles, Paul is one of the most successful music artists ever. But as a solo artist, he is no better than Elton or Billy Joel or Eric Clapton. I PREFER Paul, but it is his Beatles status that he is really promoting now. That's cool. But he isn't the Beatles.

Well, I love Elton and Billy, but they're no Macca!

I would rather see Elton in Albuquerque than Macca in Phoenix.

I'd love to see both anywhere!

Fair enough! Both are quite amazing in concert. I am glad I have seen them.
