Just saw Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band in Auckland last weekend. Note to Paul - just do absolutely everything the way The Boss does it. What an inspirational guy!!!

That's what I'm thinking, yeah. I tried to get good tickets just to see if I'd have managed it but I couldn't get anything good so maybe not. Unfortunately, Japan was probably my last chance to see him in the foreseeable future. I've checked the rumoured dates and locations and the airfares alone are far beyond what I can afford. Maybe in a few years but, by then, it may not be worth travelling that far. If we are to hope (which I doubt we should), tomorrow's announcements are apparently the American leg with South America coming later. It's entirely possible that, should he choose to come see us this year, that it wouldn't be announced tomorrow anyway. But I don't believe we will. I read a comment on the Fans on the Run Facebook page that they knew there were negotiations going on for us but they went quiet so maybe we won't see him again.
-
I did the same, could only find not great seats and really didn't want to spend all that money to see him from a poor seat. I kind of want to be put out of my misery with the announcements. It'd be nice to know one way or the other. I'm sick of getting my hopes up with him ever coming to Australia again. It'd be really interesting to know where the negotiations that seemed to be taking place late last year/early this year fell through. Unless of course we are mistaken, but it's not looking likely.

So ludicrous.PM is so close to Australia & NZ. You would think the only people who love PM & Beatles music reside in Japan, North & South America as they are the only people who these days actually get to see a show
-
Wishing our American PM fans all the best for the just announced PM shows.(Yet again !) Seems the loyal Australian & NZ fans are again treated poorly and are told to go and Nick off !

Paul rumoured to play Melbourne show at AAMI park according to Herald Sun
-
Everything's crossed that this rumour is actually true!
-
I let out a fair few expletives when I heard that. I want it to be true so badly but I'm just so suspicious these days. Let's hope that if talks ARE going on that this doesn't completely scupper it. The article doesn't seem to give any source. Anyone know anything here?

There was an article claiming Paul was close to locking in dates with Michael Gudinski likely November and December. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/confidential/paul-mccartney-close-to-locking-in-australian-tour-dates-set-to-rock-aami-park/news-story/481e2c0e22b90c43efdd4f5de94d8467

If my experience in buying tickets for Midnight Oil is any indication I reckon hundred if not thousands of fans will not be able to get a ticket even if they could afford one due to the scalpers, professional scammers and bots that systematically purchase as many tickets as they can to sell off. My fingers are crossed if it even comes to that.

I was able to read it but now it redirects me to a subscribe page. Beyond the headline, there's no more information, really. Paul is apparently close to closing a deal with the promoter for AAMI Park in November/December. That's pretty much it - if true which we're all hoping it is.
