This is really disgusting. The entire issue with Detroit Water: Corporations are owing millions and keep their water turned on. (Corporations are people now, you know) yet residents of Detroit who owe hundreds get theirs turned off in a day of lateness, and don't get it back on when they finally pay either. and PETA is taking a fundamental necessity of life and using it as a bargaining chip for a vegan agenda? I've been going more vegan lately. Even found a way to turn my keifer vegan for most of a week. My body wants it. but this? This is just wrong. Shame on PETA. Ironic too since Detroit in the 80s was where i learned about veganism among the anarchist there http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140724/METRO01/307240105 Detroit ? An animal rights group is offering to pay outstanding water bills for 10 Detroit residents on the condition they become vegan for one month. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is asking Detroiters to mail the group a copy of their most recent overdue water bill and a pledge by Aug. 1. Hey, PETA, this is how it's done: http://www.wxyz.com/news/region/detroit/canadians-deliver-200-gallons-of-water-to-detroit-in-protest-of-city-water-shut-offs DETROIT (WXYZ) - Hundreds of protestors stood outside of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in downtown Detroit to rally against the controversial water shutoff plan. Early Thursday evening, Canadian residents arrived on the corner of Woodward and Larned to deliver about 260 gallons (1,000 liters) of tap water.

I agree with you about PETA's offer: it is charity for "conversion" and that's not true charity, never has been. And I know it happened before. The action of the Canadian residents is wonderful and heartwarming ❤ Though it is very sad it is needed desperately. When will we be able to Sing The Changes?

Charity for Conversion. that's a good way to put it.

Hi Kathlryn : Maybe you'll like this PETA approach better. I think its great! I live close to a Sea World & it really bothers me. Not just the Orcas but also they have lions, and elephants. The animals all share the same fate, chained down & penned up for "entertainment". Seeing this article really cheered me up. Its not just another group protest, its tangible, concrete, the bottom line is always money & this time its used to HELP! http://www.peta.org/media/news-releases/peta-statement-re-seaworld-stock-price-plummets/

From Hollywood Bowl 1964 & 1966 to  NYC  Madison Square Garden 2017, 15 concerts so far.

that is a better approach. Let's hope PETA is learning something.
