Maccaboard: Now We Are New!
-
Interesting how vastly different it is here from the new rebooted Shatner forum that launched today, where the Mods are present and active up to the minute if one needs them, feedback is heeded and everything works, versus here where Paul McCartney's fails on all those counts.
Will they just blow in from the tour and finish the job if and when. Honestly, I expected everybody involved with Paul to perform at high levels so it's surprising no progress has been made here. If the musicians left things half finished like this, they'd be out of a job, lickety split!

I so agree with you.

Yeah, this new board was launched on November 29th and here it is, going into December 12th, with absolutely no feedback from Admin! 🤨

I don't like how a clickable link takes you away from this page. It should be opening with a separate page.

I TOTALLY AGREE! You have to remember to hit the back button. I once just clicked out and then realized what had happened, but I was still logged in when I went back to the board.

Nancy R, thanks for your efforts but I keep trying to explain to you...where are all the back pages archives posts of everyone dating from when they joined the site, in my case from eleven years ago--everything I've written since joining here. We were able to access all these in the former format. How I wish we'd been informed of this big change beforehand, so we could print out and save whatever we wanted to. I should have done that before but didn't know they were gonna spring this on us all of a sudden.

Check your PMs.

Instead of clicking a link, right click and open new tab/window.

I will try that. Thanks.

Can’t do that on an iPad. ️

Another reminder to everyone to check your PMs daily. I turned my notifications on for when someone answers a post of mine, but I have received no notifications.
-
Turned the above notifications off because there appears to be no way to delete the hundreds of them that will eventually flood the dashboard!
How the hell do we get notified when someone PMs us?! I just check every day. jl4761 and SusyLuvsPaul have yet to answer my latest PMs.

That would be if it ever starts working. I have some from day 1 but they don't lead you anywhere...so what's the point?

People need to click on the blue and white “Provide Feedback” button on the right of a particular page, forum, thread or area you have a problem with and tell them what needs to be fixed! They are obviously ignoring our posts and (maybe) only looking at the feedback. Make sure you fill out all the areas and put a check mark where indicated at the end.

It won't let me. It says I don't allow cookies but I did, but still, no. Not worth it anyway, nobody cares.
I predict someone will eventually breeze in, delete all our complaints and act like we were never here and it was all perfect all the time. Watch!

I sent two yesterday! I really hope they are reading them and taking them seriously!

Says we have 8788 registered users and that 8641 of them are online now! Nope, just me and oobu24’s avatars are showing up!
-
Ha! Now we have 8790 registered users and “only” 8763 of them are online!

This is not a hard thing for the people running this website to fix. As I've mentioned, I play a small role in helping to administer a couple sites run by the organization I work for. In most web platforms it's literally one or two mouse clicks to set links to open in a new tab. This is not hard, folks.
By the way, why do I keep seeing the red "new posts" dot on threads that haven't had anything new for a week or more, even when I last visited just yesterday? Is anyone else experiencing this?
