Is there a picture of the 1979 robot?
Look next to Paul's right leg -- at the 00:24 mark (it's a short robot):
The robot is bobbing its head and it's more in front of Denny, actually.

I agree. Who the hell wants to see McCartney on stage with a robot?? Robots on stage...elevated platforms above the audience...lasers...thousands of LED screens...WTF??? Paul, will you please just play your songs on a clean stage with great sound, lights, and screens on the side of the stage?? You don't need this nonsense. You are Paul McCartney! People just want to see and hear you! :
Disagree, he can playing his songs AND having a bit of a visual feast are not mutually exclusive things. I like the LED screens, lasers etc!
-
I can put up with all the frippery that goes along with todays concerts but i mean a robot? the mind boggles it really does.

Well, then, just go to a circus. A real musician and entertainer doesn't need all that. And Paul is a real musician and entertainer.
-
I can't believe that people are complaining about one of the most spectacular shows ever.

Which one? Where the little robot bobs its head?
-
Well, of course that one. DUH!!!
-
Of course, McCartney's shows are great and spectacular! I just don't think he needs to add a robot to the mix. But that's just me. I am sure if he does, it will be amazing.

I don't think he needs it either, but I'll wait to see if my mind can be changed. Regardless, my thoughts are focused on "Goodnight Tonight."

/// I like the idea... as long as he gets rid of the platform.... whatever exciting affects he wants to add---cool to me like Paul's creativity reminds me of- Mr. Roboto

If having the robot means he does Magneto and Titanium Man (or Goodnight Tonight), then I'm on board!

What a ridiculous thing to say, why would I go to a circus? In what way does any of that take away from the fact Paul is a real musician and entertainer. He doesn't need it but it adds to the show.

You deserved it.

I'm not exactly a fan of KISS, but I consider them to be competent musicians with fairly decent songs. Yet, if they did a tour without any of their signature theatrics, folks would be demanding refunds in every city. Remember: It's called a rockshow.

BUT that is their hook. Paul doesn't have a hook besides Beatle songs.

I agree with you to a point, but given the back catalouge of the Bloke we follow he don't need no robots
-
True.

At least the robot will not need a hotel room, plane tickets, catering and a paycheck
