Haha, gotta love McCartney being cranky at the technicians. First the sarcastic comment at 0:10. Then his immediate reaction after touching the piano during the intro of 'Golden Slumbers', and him shouting off mic to the crew in every pause he has, with even missing a line at 1:30, with 2:12 as highlight, and at 3:04-3:17 he is STILL at it. And lol @ 4:01. And @ 5:27-5:37 his guitar also isn't completely as it should be, with the ever-telling communication between Abe Jr. and McCartney at 7:10 to top it off, just like after the Olympics disaster.Yes, superb. Great to watch back. It shows how extremely motivated he still is, despite having played this song a few hundred times before. These little things/mistakes made the Werchter show really great, because Paul needed to give a little more than usual and also it made the show more spontaneous than most other shows. I was really lucky to be able to see this from very close by.

Ha ha - thank you for sharing. I enjoyed that a lot. I was front row centre so didn't see any of this due to the height of the stage - a long standing complaint about Werchter. I couldn't see him whenever he was on his grand piano but was fine with the electric one. I'm just happy that he's still so passionate about his work after 55 years of it. How many are like that?

They showed the usual 'Can't Buy Me Love'-snippet during the TV broadcast.

Was it you who I was talking to about that song a few weeks back? I think it was but I have an awful memory (too many Paul lyrics in there). I noticed in an audience-shot from this concert (same who posted the Abbey Road furore) that the V we mentioned isn't actually being dropped - it's on the next syllable: looooo - oove rather than loooove - oh. It's just the note tapers off a bit and the V sound isn't always audible. I can't quite recall if it's the same with the original recording but it's been that way at least as far back as Tripping the Live Fantastic which I was listening to yesterday.
