...Hmmm...Guilty Pleasure songs? Your choices audi were confusing to me. What is your definition of GP? I would pick something like Burnin' Love.
A "guilty pleasure song" is any track that you wanna blast in your car stereo in a convertible with the top down... ...but you wouldn't want anybody to see ya' rockin' out to it. "Burning Love" wouldn't qualify in my book. That is a classic that many people love.
Okay, I see. So would Teddy Bear, Rock-a-hula Baby, It's Now Or Never, or Viva Las Vegas qualify?
It's really subjective, but I'd venture to speculate that "Teddy Bear" and "It's Now Or Never" would not qualify, but "Rock-A-Hula Baby" and "Viva Las Vegas" are ripe for the pickin'. A better example: I hate Elvis' version of "Hey Jude," but let's pretend I reeeeeally liked it: That is NOT one I'd want to be caught enjoying.
I wouldn't like to be seen listening to sort of any opera number, a bit like when Paul sings Besame mucho or O Sole Mio too (or Freddie doing opera)... It's just out of curiosity about hearing something different but I don't like opera, sometimes it's just for laughs. For instance, I sometimes listen to this:
or to this: xD 1.17 of Besame Mucho... They got something I like. -
Paul sounds like Placido Domingo in that '69 clip.
-
Hope no one would hear me listening to something like Kissin' Cousins', and Crying In The Chapel. I even turn my iPod down when the trumpets come in on 'Bossa Nova'

anyway when he starts to sing that way, having that beard, I instantly think of Pavarotti If he brings back the beard, he could do an impersonation. lol If The Beatles would have released Besame Mucho that way it would have been a hit, even with the "hahahahahaha" on 1.17. Placido Domingo, Besame Mucho, but you won't find Placido sounding like Paul

Thanks for sharing Audi, I always liked the keyboards cause it reminded me of Ray Manzarek.

was that true, I mean were The Beatles and Elvis in Germany at the same time?
-
He was in the army in Germany 1958 - 1960 I think.

That's from the Deluxe Edition of the comeback special, it has even the attempts of the choreographies, all the takes I think.

There is very little film footage of Elvis in 1969. It is hard to find film of '71, too. Although Elvis' '71/'72 setlists are my least favorite, I am fascinated whenever I find video of Elvis in 1971. Here is a great audience-shot video of Elvis in Houston, 1971. Elvis is top form here:

That is true. The Beatles were an unknown group starting their tenures in Hamburg. Elvis was on a U.S. Army base out of harms way. There's no way John could have called Elvis. Never heard that anywhere. I did read that Paul called and spoke to Elvis later though, after Beatlemania started. I think it during the '64 tour. Then they had the big meet in '65 in L.A.
