A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

Middle of March now - some five months after scrapping the membership and leaving many, many Macca fans frustrated and upset..as well as out of pocket. WHEN THE **** ARE WE GOING TO GET A DECENT REPLY??? I am absolutely sick of waiting for compensation for the disgraceful way we've been treated. I am bored of writing stuff on here that is absolutely ignored by the same people who took the decision to remove our memberships without notice. It's now abundantly clear that THEY DON'T ACTUALLY CARE! Why should they - they took our money and are now laughing at us all - we're just fans - the ones that buy every release, and re-release...and even every re-re-re-release. C'mon.....seriously - time for an update - I want to know if what we've been given (downloads of stuff we all have) is the end of it..or is there more? An e-mail, a message on here - not asking for much. Get it sorted!

"...You have also told us on the Maccaboard that you want the ability to communicate with other fans via a website social network and we?re currently doing tests on bringing this feature to the site. ..." Admittedly, I scanned the article, but it looks like there are no immediate plans for pre-sale deals for concerts. They're going to continue to utilize YouTube and Soundcloud for audio and video, which is fine, but I hope more interesting footage than what's already there is posted. And more regularly.

My favorite part was this: "You wanted more personal content from Paul. We discussed this with him and came up with the new feature ?You Gave Me The Answer?, the first of which was published in February." I'm not sure that a one sentence reply to a question once a month is quite what we were looking for...

and a very generic reply that anyone could have made up... : I think they did do something...that rolling head is rolling faster innit? oh! And they must have added a spell checker.

And the font looks a bit different.

BIG improvements. AND there is a new message...something about waiting for maccaboard.pm.com. :

I saw the message, but have no interest in joining another site so I can comment or using my FB name on that site. I enjoyed the Jukebox. I didn't chat with people there and have no desire to do that, so I don't miss that. I did have fun creating my page with my favorite songs, my concerts, etc. It's all gone.

Actually, a very personal reply, which no one would have dared to have made up on his behalf.

Yes, it was personal and also something that all of us already know. BUT...You speak with such conviction...'no one would have dared'...you know this how? And it really makes no difference.

I would simply like to see more interesting audio and video content. That's what got me excited when this entire thing was launched. It's a matter of audience, really. Right now the site seems to be aimed at more casual fans, which is fine, in its way. My hope for premium membership was that it might be tailored to fans who have a deeper knowledge of McCartney's catalog. Thus we would gain some access to at least some amount of truly rare audio or video content. The fact that that never really materialized, to any meaningful degree, is by far the most disappointing aspect for me. Thanks.

Survey number 2 was totally pathetic. I don't even know what they were trying to determine.

Oops! I assumed that it was the same survey. I'll check it out again.

I think they really are geared towards Macca fans 101. And life in general 101.

That is what it seemed like.

New tour, no Premium Member pre-sales of tickets...not that the Premium Member pre-sale actually worked well, mind you. Just another reminder that we got the shaft. Sigh.

Premium members aren't the only ones who got the shaft...
