This is the first time I'll get to see him where I actually live. I've always travelled to see him every time before. It's a trip to see and hear the ads for the concert on local TV and radio!

On Monday where do we buy pre-sale tickets at?
Hi, At about one hour or so prior to the pre-sale, administrator PaulMcCartney.com will create a Sticky pre-sale thread at the top of the Rock Show forum. Ten minutes or so prior to the start of the pre-sale, a direct link to the pre-sale will be placed within that thread. In addition, you may also find a link to the pre-sale at the main site here: http://www.paulmccartney.com/live Best of luck! Anita

My wife took me to the Flowers in the Dirt concert at the LA Forum and now some 25 years later we are looking to share the experience with our three boys at Petco Park. What a great announcement!

No code needed. Just the email address used to register on the main site, not the forum.

Hi Kevin, No access code is required. You will enter the e-mail address that you have registered at the main site to gain access to the pre-sale. Well, your ganna have to hit the thread, I don't know how to get the picture to stay up. I'm learning. This is a snap shot taken in 1966 when the Beatles drove from LA to San Diego to perform. You easily see John, Paul & that is George in the sun glasses. Ringo was asleep in the back they said, that 4th person was the driver's kid I think. I was driving, my friends were hanging out of the windows, everybody was. What a sight, barreling along the highway at 65 mph a car would come up & the people would LOOK & all hell would break loose. People jumping up & down, arms & legs hanging out of windows, screaming & honking, several ran off the road & spun out in the center median. I almost hit the bus trying to drive & peek at them. They were so close, just a few feet away. John & Paul were doing something - writing on paper & passing it back & forth, I think they were writing a song (or playing tic tac toe). George was listening to a tiny transistor radio & kept asking us where a good station was. This went on for about an hour I guess then it got to be too much for the driver & he made them lower curtains. One more thing that bus was so banged up, looked like it had been hit by a hammer. Their limo was all bashed up too. We girls, tisk tisk. Hope there are a few others out there who remember the day when the Beatles were in LA for an entire week & then took this little bus trip to San Diego. http://s25.postimg.org/pb40tinr3/Image1.jpg

VERY cool story and photo..thank you for sharing that! Good luck getting your tickets tomorrow, everyone!

To anyone who has bought tickets through the Amex presale- what has been your experience buying the tickets and the seating?
-
The wait is killing me. Good luck all. Hope to meet some of my fellow San Diego Paul fans OUT THERE at Petco Park.

I have hardly slept, almost time now. I was looking at Amer Express Jumbo tickets (whatever that is) & its not set up very well--- you can't see the sections or seats on the field yet the tickets are very expensive ie $1500 for 10th row. TicketMaster has done pretty good in the past & it opens at 0900 too so I think I will go there. It is set up with the field sections at least. Also you can see the different deals: Front row, Gold seat, Silver seat, I'm thinking skip the Sound Check & get the most expensive Gold hot seat available. I did this once before & had a good seat.
-
When I saw the bottleneck here I went to TicketMaster. The line was long but at least they were open. After 20-25 minutes wait my offer was pretty good - Section A4 row 6 seat 9 for $651.50. Not too bad considering I saw front row section A5 for $2000. Right now there is one ticket there same price except in section A3 row 7 seat21 , if anybody wants it.

I am so thrilled that Paul is coming to San Diego and that I get to fulfill my dream of taking some of my grandchildren to see him! My husband & I will be treating 6 of them, ages 10-14: A5 row 26 & 120 row 17! They are sooo excited! It was still hard getting through ("only" 3 million people down here) but it was totally impossible to get tix for the LA show (13 million up there!)
-
I decided to go to San Diego---and just got back from FARGO 2:30am to California~ just checked San Diego---- I'm gonna be Out There -- in the front row
-
I spent a fortune for the Dodger Stadium date, like for 6 family members. First timers, they have no idea how much fun they're gonna have. And I'm going back for more! Two tickets for me and a bud. Party at Petco section 122, looks like a great 100 dollar seat. YES!
-
Got my ticket on the pre-sale today no problem. In fact much easier than Ticketmaster. Have a better seat at Dodgers Stadium, but I'm gonna see him twice this year!

There are a good number of A11 center floor seats now popping up in the AMEX presale. The are $296 and change, more than the seats I grabbed Monday in row 14, A5. Are they some sort of VIP seat?
