The Rolling Stones 1969 Circus concert airs tonight, Saturday 10/12 at 10:30 p.m. EST on UNC PBS Explorer channel. Probably on other PBS Explorer Channels in other states. Possibly. Burt Bacharach music is on earlier followed by "Soul Superstars of the 70's" John and Yoko are featured in the Circus concert with the Stones, also Eric Clapton, Marianne Faithfull, Ken Kesey and others. Not much excitement over the concert by the Stones which was never shown back then, "Circus" !-- I was wondering if Marianne Faithfull's "Something Better" is still in that show, for one thing. I ordered all her records from England when I was into her so much. "Something Better" was a rarity, and a really pretty folk song. If only I still had my huge record collection--(sobs)--one of my sisters gave it to a guy she was dating and when I returned home and found that out, I raised Cain and the guy pulled a "I don't know what you're talking about, I don't have them" ruse.

I'm sure I have a tape of this but haven't watched it in ages. Yoko kind of ruins it for me with her caterwalling.
