As usual..I am soooo jealous Audrey!.....I am hoping for some good west coast dates from Ringo....preferably not at a casino so my boys can get to see him live!! Only ones so far lined up: Springsteen March 29 The Fab Four June 13 skipping Tom Petty..too far from home...already saw the Police...no need to pay through the nose again.... Hopefully so good acts will schedule in Seattle soon...

I just got tickets for Billy Joel at Shea Stadium...sold out in seconds.

Going to see Neil Young in London next month, plus the Feeling in Cambridge and Crowded House in July. Saving my money otherwise for Paul - he's got to tour somewhere soon, hasn't he!!!!!!!!!??????????
-
We hope to see Ringo at the PNC Bank Arts Center on 6 /27th. this year. He has Colin Hay, Billy Squier, Hamish Stuart, Edgar Winter, and first timer Gary Wright and on drums, Gregg Bissonette with him. This will be our 3rd. time there. Hopefully once Paul can get everything out of the way and consider a tour in the states, we'll be there. D

I'm getting ready to try to get tickets to see Ray Davies in April . Excited about that one. As for other concerts, nothing new as of yet. I briefly thought of seeing the Foo Fighters back when tickets went on sale, but didn't think I knew enough of the back catalouge. I also kind of just decided to pass on it. They were here last week and the radio station played some of the concert and talked about it. It actually sounded really good . They had an orchestra and mixed up the set list a lot, doing an accoustic set. The thing that impressed me most though, is how real that band seems to be when they preform live. Dave was going on about how they were going to tear down the venue that they played in that night, talked about places they like to go and once played in Philadelphia, and played for over two hours. It always impresses me when a band seems like they're "there". Some bands or artists appear to be robotic, almost on autopilot. Almost like their oblivious to the crowd entirely. Do they even know what city their in? What country? Another thing that I found interesting is that they played "Marigold" . I was actually thinking that it would be cool for them to cover it, but never expected them to play it. I mean, even if it's the only Nirvana song Dave sang, it's still a Nirvana B-Side .

The same as last year - Paul McCartney. I would really love to see Ray Davies as he is having a couple of concerts here but unfortunately they are not in my state and I would need to to spend quite a bit of money for flights, accommodation etc. And I really need to keep my money on Paul's upcoming concert.
saw him at the roundhouse last year, a few days after paul it was a fantastic show but what surprised me was how some of the hits in the us werent hits in the uk and visa versa, guess for some of the songs i stood out in the crowd for i knew them word for word and some the crowd sang along word for word and i barely knew them
How was his voice?? I've got his new cd (working man's cafe) and I love it! I love the Kinks stuff so does he do a mix of new and old. I've been thinking about asking a friend to drive us down to Byron Bay to see him (accommodation is all booked out as it will be Easter) and sleep in the car or on the beach if I have to. Obviously I'm pretty desperate! So is he worth seeing is what I'm asking???
