Svenn! you said a red sports car would solve problem with girls that's not true here, not even something better than that... http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2075/102/73/694591846/n694591846_1887742_8240.jpg not even that, my friend of the singles meeting has a KITT and he's single anyway after all this single meetings, just like me. And sometimes we're both in the car and it's all the same... but it's funny.
I think in the long run, the kind of girl you'd get that could 'solve the problem about girls' cuz of a sports car (okay, that's grammatically weird, but you know what I mean ), is not the kind of girl you'd find lasting happiness with anyway.
yes, of course, she would be another problem

Bruce Springsteen's quote of the day: "I grew up as a lonely boy. Recently I've discovered all the rock and rollers were like that"
I'm not surprised to hear this. I've known many musicians for whom this has personally been true. An inordinate number of comedians credit the source of their humor (that is, creativity) to 'dysfunctional' childhood experiences of one sort or another too.....that is to say, that many found humor as a way to cope with less than ideal circumstances in their early years.
Music isolates, that's the inconvenient truth.
I think it's more a case of music comforting the isolated. JMO. mm... I mean music creation...
I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend.
Sounds somewhat like last night's Superbowl MVP. :
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me
Ditto. :
It's unheard of to combine opera with a rock theme, my dear
He never heard of Tommy (The Who)? he was a the Who of fan so I guess he knew, I don't know how Tommy is... is it similar to Bohemian Rhapsody?
You can have everything in the world and still be the loneliest man. And that is the most bitter type of loneliness, success has brought me world idolisation and millions of pounds. But it's prevented me from having the one thing we all need: A loving, ongoing relationship.
I'm not sure I'd agree that it was fame/success that kept him from attaining 'the one thing we all need'. There are plenty of successful examples to the contrary, such as Paul and Linda McCartney, for starters. mmm... but I think is harder being rich, you must someone similar to you, and it's not easy to find another milionaire... Paul found it in Linda... Fame and money give you more chances of meeting people, on the contrary, so even if you're weird you have it easy to find the weird ones.
When I'm performing I'm an extrovert, yet inside I'm a completely different man.
I know musicians for whom this is true also. Probably true for many, that is, performance is 'theatre', in its own way.
"The bigger, the better - in everything."
Okay, maybe this one is true. Just kidding. Maybe. Interesting stuff, Oliver. Did you say this is a biography, or autobiography? If biography, who wrote it, and does he give source info. for those quotes? That is, do we know that Freddie really said those things? :
you remind of me of weird things about the Beatles... I've taken this quotes from different places... some coming of the book I'm reading, and the intro of the book is made by Freddie's mother... so it's very reliable. And Freddie was like that, it seems to me absolutely true.

Your friend has a KITT?? Wow!!! I bet he'll solve the problems with the girls soon... but maybe the girls in Spain don't like cars?
No... actually when he didn't have any KITT (he has had a few... ) he had no problem with girls... I think girls in Spain don't want what they like. Sometimes it seems that the worst, the better... Next time I will tell them just than I'm an accountant, and nothing about music... it should be interesting, but I think it's intimidating or so... Not that I'm telling everyone about music, but sooner or later they know it if they're interested... Actually it was better for me when I was UNEMPLOYED!. I don't think you're gonna believe that but well... Since they're firing one person each day, of the dozen or so remaining in my company (there were hundreds), I will be luckier soon. That happens with men about women too, of course. Most of the men don't want what they like either. NOT ME, I hope

I'm speechless. He's incredible. Haven't we talked about him before? If not, he reminds me of someone similar.....have no clue about a name though. His 'slap' style is reminiscent of Michael Hedges, too.
He reminds you of my pics of me when I was a little kid with an ac guitar.

Freddie Mercury Quote of the day, from "Freddie Mercury" (Greg Brooks and Simon Lupton) English-spanish and back to english "A lot of people is creative, in his own way. Not only in the music field. That's part of talent too, you know, my dear?. I've always thought that you can't be sitting at home and say "Look, I'm so wonderful, I'm so creative that, simply, I'm gonna wait" No. You must go outside, hold to it, use it and make it work. That's part of talent. Having talent is a thing, but using it to feed the masses, that's another part of talent. They go together. I guess it's called Agressive Selling. You really must sell your ass. You must go there and go to kill saying "Here I am! I'm creative! I'm wonderful! This... YOU WILL SHALLOW THIS! (I can't translate well... :lol You must do that. If there's another ways, then, God, tell it to me."

I guess the words above are on some youtube interview but reminds me of some boardie signature about some Paul's words like: "I wanted people to believe I was an amazing performer, an amazing composer, then put all this in a little ball and people shallowing it" or so.. so here I am... I would like people to think I'm the best composer ever, the best singer, the best piano/keyboard player, the best guitar player ever... and people to eat that like if that was a little ball. And I would like that to taste very good to them. Me, here, now. Now I finally shut up 2:

Wow, are you sure?!? That would be one NOT to be missed, if at all possible. So, Art's still in FL for appearances through the 11 Feb., then returns to NY to appear with Paul on the 13th, then back to FL for another appearance on the 14th? Seems like an awkward schedule, but hey, this is historic stuff. Hope it's true.

Well, a few people who were at yesterday's concert in Florida said Art mentioned this himself. Also, there was a recent interview with Art where he said "he and Paul were cooking up a little something". I thought this was the rumoured Australian tour but maybe it was this performance in NY. I hope it's true as well.... I can't wait to read and hear reports about this.

Howdy folks! I went to celebrate a 90-year old this weekend, my grandmother's sister, she's very sweet and still up and running!! Just stopped driving! She is the last(and YOUNGEST!! ) of her siblings alive, they were seven including my grandmother, and their children, that is my mother and her cousins, were nineteen together. I am the next generation and we're even MORE!! SO, there were a lot of people there that I hadn't met for almost twenty years when we had a big family get together. It was really nice meeting like this, most of the time it's been at FUNERALS.. ...but this was a positive happy reunion!
