It's impossible duets time. I used to say "before you put me in a duet with Mariah Carey..." well, I don't care anymore... so I decided to do it. I put the CD on and I try to imitate the R&B things she does (the wo-o-o-o-os at the end of every line...). I did, but the next day I'll realize that I was singing those things to a rock and roll song too. : And I though "there's something wrong here..." So well, it's not a thing I want to learn... so let her sing her way, and I'll sing mine. I also thought of putting her "eternal" effect (reverb) on my voice, but I didn't know how. So it all remains the same, just one take, like if it was live, no effect but equalizing. At the end I even touch something and it makes a strange noise. Those things happen in live. I didn't want to correct it either. [Mariah Carey and me-Hero[/size">](

Oliver, if you want reverb, download a software called Goldwave. It's easy to use and in one of the effects you can add there's reverb. You can just select the right amount you want. http://www.goldwave.com/ I never bought it, I just installed the free version and it works great!

Yay for Goldwave! And yes, the free version works great as well, after you have used up your credits it will bug you with an annoying message, but re-installing it usually solves that problem

Hi, Eve, thanks. I already downloaded that program and I saw how I could use reverb... BUT even thought I tried for an hour... I couldn't find any way to divide the recording in 2 tracks. I mean if, how do you record 2 instruments? I don't see any way, unless you make it all in one track, then the effects would change ALL the track.

Ah, I have another software to record multiple tracks. It's also free and very easy to use. It also has reverb but I find the Goldwave reverb easier to use. It's Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/?lang=es

Audacity, yet another download (I'm not gonna record it again anyway, with so much reverb it will seem like a Disney soundtrack :lol

BTW, I've seen today in the TV a concert of this guy. Usual guitar player of Pulp of Jarvis Cocker. Now he goes solo and they play kind of 50s sound/Roy Orbison romantic Pulp stuff. Richard Hawley Valentine

Thanks for sharing Stefan. The posters look great. So you are still in the band these days as well as involved behind the scenes? Are the songs gonna be mostly in German? Good luck with the launch in any case.

hi vanessa! thannk you i`m playing on a couple of songs on the album (4 or 5 from 12 on the album)... it`s a solo artist with changing musicians, not really a band... but, yeah, mostly i`m the "behind the scenes"-guy; I`m managing the guy and the album of course will be released on my label... so things like the ads for example or videos, promotion-stuff, setting up shows/tours are part of my job. ps.: and yes. it`s in german...

So here's the newest duet with my Japanese friend [The Dangling Conversation[/color">](http://rapidshare.com/files/232954848/TheDanglingConversationwithtoytoypiano.mp3]<span style=) (clicky) He taught me this song, complete with instructional videos and everything. It was very fun to learn. I do the main fingerpicking guitar and vocal, the more crisp guitar sounds are his and of course the harmony.

And here's the cool double (and in my case headless :lol video for The Dangling Conversation.
