By the way, congratulations with reaching 1000 pages of posts in the previous topic
Why : We do that all the time
It has become a fairly regular occurance
I'm not sure we know any other way.
Don't laugh but in the 9 threads that moved to the Souvenir section I wrote in 6 of them ops: And I really have a normal life

Good luck at the dentist. I tought only little kids had dentist-phobia.
I was pretty darn brave until 2001. I had to have a tooth crowned and the dentist couldn't get my jaw numb enough and I was 'white knuckling' it until they started the nitrous oxide Now I'm worried anytime drilling is required , which fortunately isn't very often
Man, been there, done that. I wonder if there's a genetic connection, as one of my kids has the same problem...can't get her numb enough for anything. As you say, mercifully, she's not needed it often, but still, it's a miserable experience. I hope your trip wasn't as bad as you were expecting.

yes, they say this society lacks creativity... but that's because they don't visit this thread. we'll give them ideas for ten new global shows
I know what you mean. The creativity is blooming in the Supernova. A show could be about Denise Milani... it could be called "Are they real?"--- and a bunch of men could touch them and then guess if they really are. The winners gets to eat dinner with her.

If nothing else...the man is a romantic dancer
The dancing starts at 2:35....love the choice of songAbsolutely one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE SONGS. But give me Etta's version every time. Okay, I take that back. There have been many who've attempted this tough song, and IMO, few have done it well, or anywhere near as well as Etta (who was only 22 when she did it, btw :shock, but one who did an interesting version of it was, believe it or not.............Stevie Nicks. It's a hard one to find mp3 of, as I think she only did it for a benefit concert or something, as I recall, and never put it on an album, again, as best I recall........but I think there is a YouTube version for anyone curious. But nobody beats Etta James' original version. Nobody.

wow! +1000 pages huh? so sad i missed it, i bet it was filled with great stuff the thing that amazed me most is the fact now there are no rules (OK Svenn only for now ) but there is nearly zero pictures of the great men that Svenn dislike when i read the first post i was sure the other pages were filled with pictures i hope you are all fine beautiful people (and now it is offical - yay! ). i had my final exam today and now i have 2 weeks ahead of me which i really deserved, i will let you know if i can fulfill my ambition for this semester and about the music, i am a really new listener to Simon & Garfunkel and now i am feeling sad why didn't i listen to my dad before when he kept telling me how great their music is ops: but at least i enjoy them now that will be all for this time i guess, take care beautiful people
Ha! Hey there, stranger! Nice to see you! Pop in when you can! Enjoy your time off....sounds like you've earned it! And hey! That's one smart dad you've got!

Welcome to the Supernova Club! The old Supernova thread has reached 1,000 pages and will soon be moved to the Souvenir section. In this thread we talk about all kinds of music. We are going to talk about bands/artists like The Smiths, Oasis, Adam Green, The Beatles, The Strokes, Brigitte Bardot, Hard-Fi, Babyshambles, Amy Winehouse, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby Stills & Nash, Arcade Fire, Beck, Turbonegro, The Hooters, The Go! Team, La Rocca, Manic Street Preachers, Nada Surf, Yeah Yeah Yeahs etc.
Thank you very much, Svenn, for including them! Btw, Christy and Tina, I'm a bit late in uploading the other Saturday Night Live shows, but they ARE coming, if you're still interested.
I miss the owner of this board; sir Paul McCartney.
I think it's 'a given' that talk of him is welcome here.

I have had the same experience a couple of times. But that's many years ago now. Now I worry about the costs... last time I was at the dentist's it cost me more than 1,000 dollars.

This is a very nice song by Crosby, Stills and Nash:
I'm afraid I'm going to have to check them out as well....harmonies are definitely my thing. I think Sean has a few cd's of them, I'll play them tomorrow!
Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young) is the kind of music I prefer. We have a lot of albums of them or their solo albums.

Hey Angela! Oops....wasn't supposed to laugh, was I? As for archived (or lost, or closed or whatever you want to call them), I think there are many of us here who have the same 'problem' as you, Angela. ops:

Nice try. : Sorry to say, that's one show I won't be on. : But I'll grant you that creativity is definitely blooming here. As always.

Wow. I can't recall if you've said in the past, but it sounds like dental services aren't covered in your national health plan, is that right?

Did anyone see
? Wow. He's in a coma now, but the doctors say he is going to be ok.Ouch. That reminds me of the commercial on American TV many years ago....can't recall if it was NBC or ABC sports, but one of them had a long-running commercial that showed a ski jumper taking a similar fall (Tina, do you remember this? Do you remember who it was?), and some 'winning' athletes, and the tag line was "the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat". Of course, the 'agony of defeat' line was voiced over the exact moment depicting that horrendous fall.
