Ibrahim......Morning David I will give those a listen later > I would love to visit Cuba sometime. I have always liked this by Ian Brown because of the Cuban influence
Plus Kirsty did many songs with Cuban musicians. ( will give that a spin later) " i know a island where the people are kind........" Listening to these a lot at the moment ... The Prisoners Anyway i am off to the local for a staff meeting , and then off to the allotment. Its a hard life -
Morning Mogster... How you diddling? Well stop diddling and make sure you wash your hands..... So what's happening in your world? I am all over the place this morning......and yet still stuck on me arse and tod in the land before time so decided to sling a few vids up to entertain.....errr......ME! We have no car at the moment so nowhere to go. The bosses won't give us one after they said they would.....bar stewards!......and our old car is now gonna have to be part of a trade-in on a new one when we were about to sell it to someone in Norway and use the money for our summer hols.....I am less than impressed with the bosses.......costing me a chance to lie on a beach this summer..... This song/video makes me sad and happy all at the same time.....it's the boys and Real Love.

Two tracks off the same lp
It turned out to be her last -
sounds like she was having a spot of 'man trouble' in that first song, she must have been in Miami, the pick up capitol of the world. you get a lot of attention there if you're a female. I never saw anything like it. did they really think I'd hop in their cars and go off with them, (LOL) after what all you see in the news, in real life, what can happen that kind of latin salsa music you hear there, cuban, that's 'feel good' music, I loved it.

Josticks at the ready (I said josticks not joysticks.....that's something different entirely. Honestly you lot, you'd lead me astray if I wasn't already well down the slippery path..... )......fresh out of a romany caravan near St Austell in Cornwall it's those Jethro Boys.......
Sue next door was big on Jethro....I heard the damn records, and Led Zep, full blast even at 6 on a sunday morning.... .....I let her play 'em though, can't remember why. Ah, now I remember......she was a strawberry blonde hippy chick in flimsy clothes and gorgeously curvacious. Teenage boys eh......all led by the dumb stick..... -
hey jethro tull is great...the lead singer Ian something always sounds so english when he sings, and dresses like old timey english out of charles dickens. 'aqualung' is a big classic, especially. i bet macca liked it. one can certainly imagine john and george and ringo digging on it. i wonder which band they like best, jethro tull or pink floyd. pink floyd has a strong british vibe and sound and considered one of the top all time greats. modern or post modern bands which seem to have attained iconic stature are U2, coldplay--who else? i'd like to say franz ferdinand and such but they've not made that big a splash, or not yet. radiohead is esteemed. highly esteemed. but not a ginourmous 'supergroup' explosion as in days of yore. some would say oasis but i wouldn't. sorry :
-
I'm gonna write this and to hell with the fallout.....I hate Pink Floyd!.....there I said it, it's out there and that's it! They just get on my t*ts! When they played the Live thingy a couple of years ago was I the only one to be totally underwhlemed by their appearance? Give me Deep Purple, Free or Led Zep any day of the week. PF = pretentious twaddle.

Susy, your music critique's crack me up sometimes!! love it when you say "OLD TIMEY" you get right to the nitty gritty....I like that!! You and David are the best!! Oh, and DAVID....I never liked PINK FLOYD either....go figure Didn't you have to be stoned to really dig them??
-
I beg to differ here i like a bit of floyd....it normally comes in phases though, i dont play them for ages then bang they are on all the time. I love the wall, and wish you where here. As for jethro tull i cant be doing with them.......i dont like how they look, how they dress, the instruments they play, the songs, the lyrics ( about ye oulde England, fair maidens, drinking meade, pastrol countryside, reaping the harvest, barley , wood gate, cattle ect) I dont like the song titles, album titles, album covers and their name .....plus beards. Oh i bet i couldnt be doing with the fans in concert doing that hippy dance.
