Hi Mona!

Nancy R:
Weds. at 9:30 pm was at work and checked Ticketmaster for a friend & pulled up 2 ($1500 each) seats in row D, seats 2 & 3, sec. 2! How does that happen? Those are absolutely perfect seats! I couldn't get her on the phone or thru email, so I had to let them go.
Get this! The next day she ended up getting Row E, seats 3 & 4, sec. 2!! Could this be because people turn their seats back in after they realize they can't afford $3000?
-
Yep, that's probably exactly what happened. Or their credit card was declined, or they got better seats....

What am I missing? What's wrong with playing the Yum! Center (which I've never heard of, by the way)?
Yum! Brands owns KFC, which Paul has heavily criticized in the past.
Not just KFC sadly. Yum owns Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, All-American Food Restaurants... and a bunch of others. All disgusting companies and not just because of their treatment of animals. But then again Paul sadly plays at venues sponsored by even more criminal corporations like CitiGroup and Barclay's bank...
-
gee I just don't know how he can lay his head down to sleep at night..

All big arenas and stadiums now a days are owned by some corporation or another. If Paul boycotted every arena/stadium because of being owned by a corporation there would be no where left for him to play.

Some of the arenas are owned by the teams that play in them, and it is only the naming rights that are sold to these corporations who pay the big $$ to slap their names on the buildings. The venue that Paul played at in Ottawa changed its name about a week before he was there, because the naming rights deal was redone. It is true that if he did boycott these places, there wouldn't be any places for him to play. But a place advertising *fried chicken* just seems to go sooo much against his animal rights stance.

Oh I agree, and I was surprised to hear he was playing at the Yum center, I'm just saying that he can't boycott every arena/stadium here in the U.S., mostly referring to the previous poster talking about the places owned by the banking corporations etc.

But of course he can! It's a different matter that Paul isn't concerned with who he does business with for the most part, but plenty upon plenty of artists do not play corporate venues etc. Just because all the big money pumped up acts we know play these and are all on ticketmaster etc., doesn't mean there aren't alternatives. Public grounds and parks are the most obvious ones- they generate revenue for the local towns, can often take even more people, and are a lot of fun in the summer. I think we forget by focusing on these big money acts that most acts don't in fact even have access to these kind of places leave alone choose them. On the other hand, acts like Paul have an infinitely greater options of where to play. Instead, it's the same corporate acts managed by the same corporate tour managers and ticket agents and promoters- of course they all sign business deals to handle them. But that's why Paul plays these, not because he doesn't have a choice...

Not tremendous luck, but at least I got something. I couldn't get anything I wanted in either presale and for the first time had to take my chances with the general sale. Still didn't get close, but at least we got tickets. We're in the 300's, my husband and daughter and me, not nosebleed but 3rd tier tickets. Kind of bummed, but we're trying to consider how lucky we've been to have such great seats at other concerts, and the experience of being at a Paul concert is a thrill no matter where you sit. I wasn't expecting him to come this close to us again so this is just a bonus. I told my husband I guess we have more money for souvenirs now
-
that is the way I feel about it..I always feel fortunate to see him, as long as I am in the building
