Fats Domino dies at 89

John doing Ain't that a shame -
I'm so sad that Fat's Domino is gone! He was a true pioneer during Rock's early beginnings! Put him up there with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P "the Big Bopper" Richardson and Chuck Berry!

He had a long life; nothing sad about checking out at 89. He left us w/ some memorable tunes & a mentor to many musicians. I've been listening to him on Spotify this afternoon.

Yes, 89 is long life! Chuck Berry lived to be 91! These early Rockers lived a long life! Little Richard is 84 and still kicking!

Another musical legend has passed. Huge influence on Paul. Lady Madonna written in Fats style. Paul also covered one of his songs on Run Devil Run.
-
Paul also covered 3 of Fats' songs on his Russian Album of Rock'n'Roll covers, Choba B CCCP. Paul and John Lennon both recorded versions of Fats' song Ain't That A Shame. Lennon on his album Rock'n'Roll. RIP Fats Domino.
-
Lets not forget Cheap Trick's BLISTERING version of "Ain't That A Shame!" That song kicks a*s!
-
At 89, one can hardly say Fats was cheated. He had a long and successful life. That said, 2017 just bites. Too many greats gone, too much awfulness all around.
