Congratulations to LINDA RONSTADT on her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! She has recorded songs from Paul's MPL since the formation of the company and purchase of the Buddy Holly** Catalog. You're No Good (use to be co-owned by MPL, but not anymore) That'll Be The Day** It's So Easy** It's Too Soon To Know I've Never Been In Love Before Never Will I Marry

Here's a lovely Linda Ronstadt recording that's not very well known:

I have always loved Linda. She was such a versatile singer. One of the first rock/country singers to turn to the old standards and did a trilogy of albums with Nelson Riddle & his Orchestra which were all excellent. Unfortunately she now has Parkinson's Disease and is unable to sing anymore. Nice photo below of Paul & Linda with Peter Asher and Linda Ronstadt.

She is an undoubtedly YES! Kind of forgotten along the way by the media, but never by me. Not since Stone Ponies/Different Drum. She is always good to hear from, and sang one of The Saddest songs of all time, "Long, Long Time" which was a hit for her. And it still packs a wallop.

It breaks my heart that she's going through a rough time with her health.

Audley's Piano:

That song Long Long Time is sure a tear jerker. And Linda's sings it with so much emotion and power. Another fave of mine is Someone To Lay Down Beside Me a minor hit from the Hasten Down The Wind album (great album) . She was forgotten a bit in a later years but I have most of her work and will always treasure it.

She became one of the top concert draws in the '70's, and I believe she has the distinction of being the first and only female artist to sell out stadium concerts during those years. One of the greats!
