Yes, the stage invasion is common for Morrissey. He still does some hits, as the setlist shows, but like any concert really, you can't have it all. Didn't perform November Spawned A Monster when I saw him, would have liked that one. Though he did do 'Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me' .
He got bombarded in NY when I saw him, as well. Probably the star I'd least think would enjoy it, which made it all the funnier. Heal quickly, bladder of Moz.

I think he loves it. They went @pesh-t at the Nashville '92 show that I went to. Security was exhausted, and Morrissey wasn't much help, touching the hands of berserk kids as they were being man-handled away from the stage. The venue stopped the show early -- pissing off the entire band.

He looked a bit perturbed at the rushing of the stage in Albany, turned away from the hugs a few times, but he kept singing, at least.

He encourages stage invasions, no one managed to jump the stage in Manchester, but M and another guy (security I think) lifted one guy on stage and hugged him.

That's so funny to hear because I remember thinking how much he hated having those guys in Albany on stage trying to hug him! He tensed up and everything...

Maybe it just got a bit too much.

UPDATE: 'Brooklyn Vegan' is reporting that M has a bleeding ulcer. Tour postponed for now, but should resume in under 2 weeks. Get well soon.

Hope that Moz is OK. Glad I got to see him before he postponed again. We were supposed to see him back in Oct, but he postponed due to his Mum being ill. I was on edge the entire week before this show wondering if he was going to cancel again. He was definitely encouraging the stage bombardment in Pittsburgh. He was hugging everbody who came up.... I wonder what happens to a person once they get escorted off, do you get sent back to your seat or removed from the building?

I think you get put back in the crowd (probably as far away from stage as possible), seen some people jump on stage, hug him, then dive back into the crowd.

He cut shows short when the security wasn't letting people on stage. It's the old school punk rocker in him to have that connection to the fans, it's what he experienced when he was younger, and gets that people want that extra something from the show. He knows how to handle himself if a fan gets carried away. I think people think he's this cranky guy who's always doom and gloom, and he's not. Super nice guy, but you can tell he's not thrilled to pose for photos but he's a good sport about it. I remember reading Moz and Linda used to talk to each other for hours on the phone.

the Killers performed there is a light on Sunday in Manchester

Several of Morrissey's colleagues are complaining about his treatment of them in his new autobiography. Not surprising, is it I found a list of 59 songs or performers which Morrissey says influenced him greatly. Will come back and add that. More later gator
