Happy Birthday to us!! ... Thanks for being a great detective, but sorry to disappoint you, you wanna hear bad Autotune, go get GENYC! ..:
Really???? I guess I don't know auto-tune when I hear it. One thing I pride myself on is ''nailing'' a good vocal. Sure, flat notes occur here n' there, but I'd rather avoid it. As for Paul, it's OK -- as long as they don't make his voice do things he's otherwise would never be able to do. I love the new DVD/CD.
Hey, love the stuff too, but the treatment on his vocals is a tiny bit distracting on some songs, should be unnoticeable, that good stuff you can use today...BUT I agree, he can sing it all, nothing is fake only that we are spared to hear some flat notes...I have made a comparison of his Sing The Changes and the one on Youtube, much is the same, just a few flat notes fixed and a messed up lyric line, that he must have pasted from one of the other two days at Cityfield..
I'm afraid to start comparing tracks on the live-album with what's on the 'Net, but I might anyway. What's an example of a ''distracting'' auto-tuned song on this new album?

That is what happens if you are NOT anonymous on the web, keeping your head in the picture!
Here almost no one knows about this, only Sean knows I'm "doing something" with you guys, but then again, he doesn't even know I have youtube even though he's heard some of the songs, actually the only people that do know about it are the online people like you, but none of my other friends and family.
Wow...thats incredible that no one in your family knows... when I joined PM.com all those years ago... I blabbed to every person I could think of that....OMG...they need to check out PM.com...look at my cool avatar....look at me , I can post....BLAH BLAH BLAH.... :
Well, my nearest family (meaning parents and sister) know I post here, and I have online friends...but they don't know about the music.
My family doesn't know about most of my Internet music-career, either. I suppose when I post my vids, the cat will be out of the bag then.

Love that saying - let the cat out of the bag.... I can just imagine where THAT came from, some psycho kid in the 17th century who used to keep cats tied up in a bag. Gives me almost the same vision as the puppies...
-
Gary...that's some imagination!

HEY, here's a song I wrote in the late 80's. I re-recorded it with new technology. I think I may have posted this a long time ago (the old version anyway), but this is the new version anyway. I KNOW THAT I'VE FOUND LOVE Copyright G Morrison 1989 http://www.snapdrive.net/files/492294/I%20Know%20That%20I%27ve%20Found%20Love1.mp3

Now that I think about it: What is the origin of thay saying?? You could be right.

We have a saying in Dutch, roughly translated as "buy a cat in the bag", meaning "misbuy something"...so you have to make sure WHAT you buy before you buy it, so you don't have any surprises afterwards....one can only guess where THAT came from!? :

(Listening at this very moment...) My first impression is that it's in the league of Wings' "Baby's Request" and George Michael's "Kissing A Fool." With a dash of the standard, "Moonglow." I like your chord progressions here. I bet there's a good story behind this one!

LMAO... I was actually asked by a friend to write a song for his wedding video. This was the result. Not seen him for years and years, but it DID end up on his video.

That's an honor -- especially when you consider how detailed and perfection-minded brides are about their weddings. Did you write with that particular couple in mind?

Not particulary, just from a total "third party" viewpoint. SOrt of written to order, a WORK song as John used to call them. I do lkike the chord progression though, and yes, I HAD got My Baby's request in mind when I wrote it.

No offense to brides, of course. I was a wedding DJ in one of my many past-lives.

I suppose the kitties ended up in a catatonic state. (Especially if they'd been given gin).

That's great advise for when I'm hooker-shopping. (Do I really need to clarify that is just a joke?)
