Well, I got my ticket!!!! I paid almost $300, but I got a pretty good seat! I might bring a sign this time. Suggestions? (Suggesions?) [size=7](Suggestions?)
I don't have any suggestions... "I'm happy to be here" or so... ok "So Glad to see you here"
-
I'm considering a sign that reads: SHAKE IT! DON'T BREAK IT, PAUL!

Oh, Ollie. You disappoint me, my friend. It's a "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five" reference.

ah, ok, I'm not very familiar with Paul stuff 1970-1988 you could write "Take it to the bridge" One thing that I think would be very fun to see it's Paul singing some song in operatic style. Just like Elvis did a lot in the 70s. Most of the people would react like "What the heck is this?" like when Elvis recorded It's Now or Never... I'm absolutely with this, just for a minute
BTW, I don't know if Elvis fans know this. Elvis doing almost a parody of O Sole Mio (well... It's Now or Never) live in 1977. Albano doing it the way it's meant to be (and singing it to Sophia Loren :lol -

He did something similar at The Concert For Montserrat in '97 after he sang "Yesterday."

I know.... and in some part of the Back in the U.S. DVD IMO, the best rock and roll singers are much better than the best opera singers. (Only opera seems "very serious" with all that suits, etc and it can make it seem "superior"...) Any great rock and roll singer that has tried to sing operatic has done it easily... And no need to say but no great opera singer has got to sing rock and roll. And even more, I think Elvis, for instance, was much more skilled when he sang operatic than any opera singer I've heard. Just the same happens with Paul, and it would have happened with Freddie and others. They're years light away... only still there seems to be an "inferiority complex" in rock and roll... that prevent us to say that "Rock and roll is king" and that Paul, Elvis, etc are the best singers ever... and Paul, John, etc are the best composers ever. It's not "only" rock and roll but man, it's rock and roll. So Paul could sing someday in his classic works , that would be funny, not even Mozart, etc did that...

A new recording. To be quite honest, I think I am the writer of this song. I'm not sure... ..seriously. This has been in my head for about two years, and I decided to "write" it and run it by a few people. I don't know if I dreamed this, thought of it -- or heard it on college radio. This is just like when Paul McCartney dreamed "Yesterday." THE SOUL (HIGH!) 6-12-2010: http://rapidshare.com/files/398383267/Audese_-_The_Soul__High____MIX1_6-12-2010_.mp3.html Abstract lyrics. Hey audi, I must listen to your/our recordings but I don't have the time now. That happens to me often, "have I really write this?", sometimes it seems too familiar, but that uses to be a sing it's good... I've got another suggestion for the Paul's sign: "O Captain, my Captain!", Dead Poet's society and all that...

Hey audi, I guess you have written that song, at least it's not like anything I can remember. My boy has become a little faster, it has become truely a duet, cause your voice and my right hand at keyboards were doing just the same melody.

You're right: "My Boy" is MUCH faster than the original. I guess I didn't realize that when I'd made the initial guitar/drum tracks for ya'. It compromised me vocally, too. I had some trouble breathing and hitting certain notes because of the faster beat. Oh, well.

It's really different than the Elvis version, but great song, and the vocals are great! Like it a lot!

Hey there, I dig your stuff a lot, the vocal levels are high, but that has a quality to it that I like, almost as the Twin Freaks stuff, or as you mentioned "Rinse The raindrops", the emotions gets more intense!

I love the Twin Freaks project, so that's a flattering comparison! One of these days, I'm going to master the art of mixing. For now, my vocals are (STILL!) either too loud or buried in the mix. One of these days (when my feet are on the ground...) -a

Like "Rinse The Raindrops," the lyric for my song "The Soul (High!)" is a poem: "Oh, The soul, the soul Alone On its own Oh, The home, the home Of the soul Is where you roam High! High!"
