Hey audi, I guess you have written that song, at least it's not like anything I can remember. My boy has become a little faster, it has become truely a duet, cause your voice and my right hand at keyboards were doing just the same melody.
You're right: "My Boy" is MUCH faster than the original. I guess I didn't realize that when I'd made the initial guitar/drum tracks for ya'. It compromised me vocally, too. I had some trouble breathing and hitting certain notes because of the faster beat. Oh, well.
that makes me think of our cover of Led Zep's Rock and Roll... "even faster?" "ok, let's go"

here's what I posted in facebook about rock and roll singers and opera singers... as for me, I prefer rock ones... I needed years to realize Montserrat Caballe was singing in Spanish in Freddie's Barcelona!. you choose or can discuss... Freddie Mercury vs Pavarotti
Elton John vs Pavarotti Paul McCartney vs José Carreras Elvis vs Pavarotti Adam Lambert singing opera Freddie vs Montserrat Caballe Freddie and Caballé Bono and Pavarotti (singing in harmony at the end!) -
My version of a Dan Fogelberg masterpiece. A nice elderly lady I know online requested this. I hope I've done it justice -- this was a challenge fer' me. -a AUDI - DAN FOGELBERG'S "RIVER OF SOULS" (FINAL MIX 6-17-2010): http://rapidshare.com/files/400236298/Audese_-_River_Of_Souls__FINAL_MIX_6-17-2010_.mp3.html I wish I had discovered his music while he was still with us.

WOW! Really impressed here on this side of the pond, both with the song, and your fab work, that is a great track you have put together, never heard this one before! Love the instrumental stuff going on, the little electric guitar piece, the groovy bass and some really fab vocals there! Have to check out the late Mr Fogelberg... BTW Check your PM box...

I didn't know the song, but I like it. I think it suits you very well, I like it. I've heard you singing some lines in Spanish, I think. Like the flamenco flair. You doing flamenco in Spanish and me doing blues in English... it's a strange world sometimes.

That's funny. Plus, he'll sing "Love Me Tender" while kissing 90% of the women in the audience.

Paul could do it with And I love her... He would go down and kiss kiss kiss and maybe say sometimes " that shinee... sorry, I'm not kissing you, hey I'm sorry!... dark is the skyyyy" And he could appear in one of those Elvis dresses... I feel he's gonna do really something similar to what Elvis did, being the fan he is. As he did similar things in the MTV Unplugged compared to Elvis comeback informal part... and Glasgow was the "rehearsal concert" for this... "Glory, glory... hallejuuuhah..."

Well, no I think Paul will do Something in a different way than Elvis did.

Today, I recorded one of my favorite country hits, Eddie Rabbit's "Driving My Life Away." He wrote Elvis' "Kentucky Rain" and had plenty of country/pop hits in the '70s and '80s. I play all the instruments and did all the vocals: DRIVING MY LIFE AWAY: http://rapidshare.com/files/403152925/Audese_-_Drivin__My_Life_Away__FINAL_MIX_6-26-2010_.mp3.html Enjoy!

well... nothing much to say... Lately I've been singing a lot "Trouble" (perhaps because that scene with a little stage on a bar reminds me of the place...) in that special karaoke. I think this Sunday was the fourth and I wanted to change something (I wonder how Paul can feel after singing a song for the 200th time). So I kind of "acted" similar to Elvis, in a drunk, angry style, angrier than Elvis and less drunk . That's not new for me... but in the end I remembered the shoulders movements in time with the music and I did the same. I didn't know how people were going to react to that.... but they liked that a lot. Not that I liked it very very much but I think it's starts something about "certain movements" while singing for me. Elvis-King Creole movie "Trouble"

"the movement you need is on your shoulder"You sang Trouble???????? I'm impressed! By the way: I suggested in the "Golden Earth Girl" thread that you and I should so that song. Wanna make me a piano track? Also, do you use a metronome? I don't have one, but they can be quite helpful.

Cannot wait to hear that piano opening Ollie and the broken chord acoustic guitar.. the wobbly recorder (or whatever that is : ), the gentle horns, heavy 1 & 3 on the bass.. What a soundscape. Paul?s vocal is really gentle yet firm on it as well. The way he holds those notes at the end of phrases, and lets them taper off.. tough stuff. Good luck I know its not professional or anything but you guys are setting the bar high with these choices! I like it. I was reading elsewhere that you were going to take on Coming Up.. man alive. Who and how are you going to accomplish that fast staccato horn or what ever that is? Is that tapping the keys on a synth really quickly? or is someone planning on breaking out a kazoo? what instrument does Paul use there :
