Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
XL would be nice. It's only 1 hr from my house, so I can manage those shows! I'm just hoping that Paul will do some Middle colony shows this year (DC and farther North.) Baltimore would be nice, as would MetLife Stadium, Connecticut, Mass, NYC, my house, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Staten Island, and Long Island. Just any show no more than 3 hrs. North and 3 hrs. south of NYC!

Here's a MOCK LIST of what I'd like to see: Mid June-- Midwest Late June-- West Coast Early July-- Near East Coast Mid July-Early August-- East Coast

Actually for concerts Mohegan Sun holds 12,000. He has done other arenas of this size sewhere in the country. And the casino can easily afford his guarantees. A lot of a list acts have played there so i would not count this one out.
What other arena has he played in the US that is less than 12,000? I can't find anything until all the way back to 1976. Not counting "secret shows" or one-offs like the Apollo.

MSG would be good. It's not often that I'm able to walk to a Paul McCartney concert

I was under the impression the MGM Grand Arena had about 15,000 seats.

would love to see mid colony shows..Baltimore, Jersey, NY, Conn, Boston and Philly are easy strikes for me. Come on middle of April!!! We need announcements and need em quick..Put some of my vacation time in but saving some for the tour as well

too big to be standing out on limbs....Make a practice of not doing that!! As far as UK/Europe...seem to be off the map right now for the near future. It wouldn't surprise me if he did some holiday shows in Nov and Dec like he had done in the past but at this point..anything can happen
As pointed out on the board before...I guessed UK/Europe X-Mas shows the past two years wrongly!!! So stay chipper anything can happen!!
-
revisiting Lambeau field....how amazing would that be? I remember ESPN doing Packer highlights...The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field!!! I put in my request for the new New Jersey football stadium and new arena which he has not done. Come on Paul....been 12 years since you visited the Garden State

you made a good point about Mohegan Sun..maybe it is feasible...I thought MGM was 17,000...Seen him there 5 or 6 times...love Vegas

that's Foxwoods, not Mohegan and its a theatre, not an arena. Of note: MGM has recently severed ties with Foxwoods. And ur right Yankee 8156- he doesn't play arenas that small 'cept for one offs. XL Ctr (Htfd Civic Ctr)(15,600) or Rentschler would be the best choices here. Again, Why play a relatively small venue in CT when he has NYC and Boston within spitting distance? Makes no sense.

I think it seats about 16,500 for boxing, but for end stage concerts, probably about 14,000. The Pit in Albuquerque seats about 15,400, but for a concert, it is actually about 12,000.

Well, my buddy lies in Albuquerque and it's a place I'd come to in a heartbeat...I hope it happens for you....You had the prize taken away at the last minute last year. If and when t does happen...I'll be there! As long as I can afford it

Cool! I'll buy you a cold beer! Actually, I am ok if it doesn't happen, it is just upsetting when it is dangled in front of you then taken away! Here is the Pit: http://m6.i.pbase.com/g4/53/688553/2/141655416.9hBA4APi.jpg Here is what they have to do in the Pit for concerts, since equipment can't be hung from the roof: http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l180/bmathews2/PitRoof.jpg One of the many reasons McCartney doesn't play Albuquerque, I think. A lot of people have played there, including the Rolling Stones in 1972, Cream in 1968, Led Zep in 1973, George Strait, Van Halen, Elton John in 1973 and in 2000, and many more.

I know my buddy was disappointed too as was I!!! If he plays Jersey and you come...I'll return the favor and buy YOU a beer!!!!
-
oh my, just looked at the photos....it looks really small!!!!! Don't get me wrong, when seeing Paul....the smaller the better!!. I've been lucky to see him a few times with under 500 people

Staten Island would be great but they only have a small Staten Island Yankees stadium, not big enough!
-
Would love, love, LOVE Staten Island...45 minute ride would be fantastic!!!

Bob, you know I can always use a beer! You have had some great assumptions on where and when, and I had a great time meeting you in Manchester for a McCartney show, but you got my hopes up for December shows in the past that didn't happen. So this year we will have to wait and see! But if it happens I owe you a drink!

You can stay at my house if it happens!

Hell, if it happens again I will buy you a drink!! Hoping that he returns to the "WINNING" tour pattern!! I love my Europe/UK shows at X-Mas time. Amazing time to be over there and love the people!! If you read this Paul....Bring back the X-Mas shows!!! But hell, if you'd rather do Sept, Oct or any other month for that fact...I'm ready
