Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

An announcement was just made: Paul's tour will begin on november 10, in a city called Cariacica (just outside of the capital city, called Vitória). Further details will be given by the governor of the state of Espírito Santo, probably tomorrow. http://www.soues.com.br/plus/modulos/noticias/ler.php?cdnoticia=1481 This second aticle mentions it will be Paul's final tour in Brazil before he retires, but I still don't believe that part. http://gazetaonline.globo.com/_conteudo/2014/09/entretenimento/cultura_e_famosos/1497682-agora-e-oficial-paul-mccartney-inicia-turne-pelo-brasil-no-es-show-sera-dia-10-de-novembro.html

Carlos, so, the tour will begin in Brazil or the Brazilian leg of the tour only? So, no Argentina.. or maybe first Brazil dates, later Argentina and more countries? Stones will made the 2015 SA tour announce last week of September or ealy October, so, hard competition to sell tickets, since both (Paul and Stones) tickets will go on sale almost at the same time, weird!

It's beginning to look like the tour will begin in Brazil on november 10, then two concerts in Argentina, then a 10-day gap and three more concerts in Brazil: one in Brasília and two in São Paulo. It's more or less what happened in november 2010. Brian Ray mentioned a few days ago that there would be about 6 shows in november, so the numbers look right.

Looks like it, but a 10-day gap I really don't think so, maybe if he was in the States or Europe, but for tour logistics (and $$), the SA tour should be at the same time. Let's wait and see.

AIN'T LIFE GRAND? So is it possible there will be another concert in Brazil after Vitoria before Argentina/Brasilia/Sao Paulo?

Carlos is right, there was a 10-day gap when he played South America in November 2010. Maybe he has to go home for Bea during that part of November.

By the way, the city of Cariacica is close enough to the capital (Vitória) to be considered part of it, so if that show is confirmed Paul's team may use either name. Here are all the currently mentioned cities and dates: November 10 - Vitória / Cariacica (Kléber Andrade Stadium) November 11, 12 or 15 - Buenos Aires (River Plate Stadium) November 23 - Brasília (Mané Garrincha Stadium) November 24, 25 or 26 - São Paulo (Allianz Parque Stadium)
-
I've heard there will be 2 concerts in Buenos Aires.

Yes, and two in São Paulo, plus Cariacica and Brasília. It seems there will be six concerts in total, as Brian Ray had mentioned in that interview.

Paul Mccartney, BX, NY 2011, Go Yanks!

It has been revealed that Paul's fee for the november 10 concert will be 3 million dollars. Adding other expenses, it will cost about 5.2 million dollars to bring his show to that city.

The contract for the november 10 concert will be signed on Monday. The other 3 cities will have been confirmed by then. It seems they mean 4 cities in Brazil, which would be the first time he would visit that many cities in a row over here. No mention of Argentina. http://g1.globo.com/espirito-santo/musica/noticia/2014/09/ingressos-para-mccartney-no-es-vao-de-r140-r800-diz-produtor.html

Muito obrigado, Carlos!

Some people will have a pretty good view of the november 10 show from their apartments: http://g1.globo.com/espirito-santo/musica/noticia/2014/09/vizinhos-de-estadio-no-es-mostram-camarote-para-show-de-mccartney.html

Javi, correct me if I'm wrong, but this says that the production in Argentina doesn't have the money to pay Paul for the concert.
-
Bad news for Argentina. It seems their laws regarding foreign money keep getting in the way year after year.
-
Yes, this bloody third world country is in default and has no currency to pay Paul (people buy their tickets in pesos and the government has to allow the promoter to exchange those pesos for dollars to pay Paul) so we might all have to go Brazil to see him.
-
This is quite frustrating, but it couldn't be the other way with such bunch of ****** that we have in the government. Hopefully in december 2015 they will leave for good.
