Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
The news (or rumors) of Paul's upcoming tour is all over the media in Brazil. Lots of teenagers (and people under 30) tweeting about saving money and selling stuff to buy tickets, once they become available.

It's just like McCartney: How many times do we need to hear "Tiny Dancer" and "Levon"??? Oy. Of course, "I'm Still Standing" is too good to EVER remove from the set.
I was referring to "The One" and "Believe" for the 90's, which don't seem to get out much anymore. And for what it's worth, "I'm Still Standing" was really the only song that sucked when I saw him last year. He can't sing it. It's too many words, the key is too low, and he just shouts the chorus. It was garbage.
Have seen Elton John 5x so far and going to see him this November, you know what your going to get from one his shows, and he'll always throw in a few album tracks for good measure like Madman across the Water, All the Girls love Alice etc.. like you said he does cover all of his career, and for what its worth' Audi' I also like Club at the end of the Street, it's a very catchy song!

And I have seen him do "Believe" in recent years. But back on topic, sorry! I imagine there won't be anything after these highly-rumored South America dates until 2015. Those November dates will be nicely timed to promote the "Speed of Sound" and "V&M" reissues, but then I think Paul will be ready for a break. I think Brian's interview pretty much confirms that, even though he may not have meant to say it!

I haven't heard any updates from Argentina, except half of sources mentuon 2014 and the other half say 2015. I'm still puzzled by Brian Ray's remark of "about 6 shows" in november. I don't expect more than 3 in Brazil, so what about the other ones?

Argentina, Venezuela and Bolivia?

If the november 26 concert is confirmed, I have no doubt there will be another one the following night, which will be confirmed after the first show is sold out.

A source spoke two days ago to the management of the stadium in São Paulo and was reassured that it will be ready in time for Paul to announce the concert.

I just heard a rumor the concert in Sao Paulo might be on Nov 21 and not on the 26. What do you think Mr. Carlos?

First time I'm hearing that one. Nothing is impossible, but it would make more sense for him to play on the 23rd, rest for a couple of days and finish the tour with two more on the 26th and the 27th.

Do we reckon based on Brian's comments that any 2014 UK shows (xmas or otherwise) are out then?

I hope not, but unfortunately it is possible.

There's always 2015 to look forward to. I wonder what it's like to see a Macca concert in Merry England.
-
He really SHOULD be announcing the rest of the year already.

Yes, and 2016, 2017, 2018, etc....

While Paul is alive, there's hope.

From what I can tell by looking back on the forum threads for 2013, the November 2013 dates for Japan were announced in mid-July. Not that this means anything for 2014, of course.

But it's important to remember that, since 2010, all the shows in Brazil were announced at the most, 1 month and a half before the concert day

In a conversation with another fans here in Brazil, it's almost a unanimous opinion that the Brazilian leg will be announced someday between Oct 1st through Oct 15th, most likely on a Wednesday. Then, the tickets sale will start on the 1st Friday after the announcement.
