Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
I'm still hoping they will fix the situation in Argentina. I would love to watch a concert at the world-famous River Plate Stadium. According to these reports, two McCartney concerts in São Paulo will be announced next week. I suppose the second one will be confirmed after the first one sells out: http://globoesporte.globo.com/blogs/especial-blog/dinheiro-em-jogo/post/de-volta-estadio-do-palmeiras-gera-r-340-mi-por-ano-em-receitas-para-wtorre.html http://esportes.opovo.com.br/app/esportes/clubes/palmeiras/2014/09/27/noticiaspalmeiras,2840761/palmeiras-e-wtorre-se-reaproximam-e-paul-mccarney-fara-show-na-arena.shtml

Maybe things can be worked out for Argentina for 2015. Quien sabe? Seems bleak, but anything is possible.

I'm surprised he hasn't returned to Mexico since 2012. He always gets a good crowd there and I assume he makes a ton of money as well.

I'll never understand how cities like Rome and Mexico City can afford to put on a free McCartney show. He must still get paid for those, yet Argentina can't land a concert. Nor Australia. Nor New Mexico!

Bloody hell, I hate my government. May they rot for eternity if they don't authorize the currency exchange to pay Paul!
-
Hope he plays in the UK this year

Not looking good for the UK in 2014. Looks like Nov. will be Brazil, and Brian Ray is already looking at getting gigs for his band in S. America in December. Maybe 2015 will be a good year for the UK!

At least we can pay Brian Ray to come

Here's hopin' he's not charging $5 million!

The contract for the november 10 concert has been signed and tickets will be sold in the next few days: http://preview.folhavitoria.com.br/entretenimento/noticia/2014/09/contrato-para-o-show-de-paul-mccartney-esta-assinado-e-ingressos-serao-vendidos-exclusivamente-pela-internet.html

Carlos, I have a feeling Paul will gather all the Brazilian concerts in a single week, so perhaps the dates will not be Nov 10 and then jump to 22/23?

All the reports I have read so far mention the 10-day gap, just like in 2010.

But in 2010 there was the Argentinian dates in the middle and it seems they're cancelled now.

Maybe they are, maybe they are not. Even if the concerts in Argentina are cancelled, Paul's staff have inspected other stadiums in Brazil, so it's possible that after the november 10 concert, one of those will fill the gap (let's speculate between november 12 and 14). Then he would go back to England, spend a week with his daughter and return to 3 more concerts, which apparently will be in Brasília (november 23) and São Paulo (november 26 and 27).

But then hotel fares and expenses should be paid for the rather large crew for several days not working in Brazil. Who knows? I've heard tickets go on sale on Oct 3 to 6 for the Vitoria concert.

For that to happen, they would need to announce the concert tomorrow, and those ticket sales would still be on extremely short notice.

So when are they announcing the concerts? If they start Nov 10 then we're basically a month away!

There will be on Sunday the presidential election. They're probably waiting Monday to confirm it, just like they did in 2010

So next Monday? Cool! Is Dilma winning?

Unfortunately yes...
