Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
http://www.cariacica.es.gov.br/prefeito-recebe-produtores-do-show-de-paul-maccartney/ This is great news. It says that Cariacica's mayor met with the local production of the concert to discuss about the traffic infraestructure that this concert will require. The big deal is that it was posted on the official website of the town, which kinda makes it a official confirmation.

Thanks Andre! The dream is over for Argentina http://www.cronista.com/controlremoto/El-cepo-cambiario-dejo-a-la-Argentina-sin-el-recital-de-Paul-McCartney-20141003-0004.html (Use google translate if you can't read Spanish)

A friend of mine met the band by accident at the airport earlier today in Lubbock. She mentioned to Rusty "too bad I won't see you guys in Brazil in november" and he replied that it was a pity indeed. Sounds like a confirmation to me, otherwise he would not have agreed with her.

http://preview.folhavitoria.com.br/entretenimento/noticia/2014/10/paul-mccartney-38-mil-ingressos-disponiveis-para-venda-nos-proximos-dias.html Great news! According to this article, in the next few days, 38.000 tickets will go on sale for the Cariacica concert. The tickets for what we call "Pista Premium", the section which is closer to the stage, will cost 800 reais, something like 323 dollars, and there will be 10.000 tickets available. The other middle of the pitch, with 8.000 tickets, will cost 400 reais, approximately 160 dollars. There will be also 20.000 tickets for the stands, available for 280 reais, or 112 dollars. The productor, Flavio Salles, expect that all 38.000 tickets sell out in 4 days.

We'll have information about the other concerts this week. Probably on Tuesday, after all that election hype. I guess that tickets will go on sale until Friday.

Haha, technically this answer could mean anything. "It's a pity", because there are no dates and you won't see us for that reason. Or indeed, "it's a pity", because you aren't there when we are there. Not that I'm doubting these rumours. You guys leak every step in the process, lol.

I'm not sure how one of the local promoters gets away with that, as he's the one who provides most of the info to the newspapers on a nearly daily basis. I guess breaking the confidentiality clause in the contract is not actually used by Paul's management as a reason to cancel the deal. As long as his fee is paid for, all is well.

Exactly, even year after year after year. I would say that's almost #1 faux-pas over here. The ultimate deal-breaker. Not the slightest of hints of anything cooking up, even from the inside-inside, when something is planned over here. (And I know that is rare, hehe).

According to a radio station in Argentina, Paul and the Stones will be paid three times their regular fees for their upcoming tours in South America. That may be true about the Stones, but Paul is getting his "usual" three-million-dollar fee for each concert in Brazil.

That's a bargain! I hope all concerts and dates are announced this week, plane tickets are getting expensive as days go by!

Do you think the other shows will be announced before or after Friday, Carlos?

If I had to guess, I would say "before".

Then this should be an exciting week!

Probably, yeah. This time it will be easier for foreign fans, as plane tickets to São Paulo are cheaper than to the cities he performed at in 2012 and 2013.

The mayor is thinking about giving the day off to all public servants on the day of the concert (november 10): http://www.eshoje.jor.br/_conteudo/2014/10/entretenimento/festas_e_eventos/22783-venda-de-ingressos-para-show-de-paul-mccartney-comeca-nesta-sexta-10.html By the way, a lot of work is being done in the city (especially around the stadium) in order to make sure everyone will be safe and comfortable. Once the concert is over, these improvements will remain and will benefit those who live there.

So, October 10, ticket sales start, and official announcement maybe tomorrow or Oct 8, right?

That's right. This will be one of the most expensive McCartney concerts in Brazil, due to the fact that there will be no student discount (50% off) for the 18,000 tickets on the field. That discount will only be available for the 20,000 tickets on the stands (the chairs around the field).

Enjoy the concert(s) Carlos! Let's wait for the other Brazilian cities to be added. Obrigado
