Tickets popped up on the floor today. Those VIP tickets are now standard price, if you have quick fingers. I bought a ticket in row 6, and my pals are in rows 4 and 5. It paid off to wait, but it's a gamble, isn't it. I'm so glad Paul is coming to my hometown! We welcome him back!

That's a gamble that might give me a heart attack! But, that's great that you got them! Row 4 and 5 for $250 is a sweet deal! Are you center or in one of the side sections?

Were they the "pick on the map" seats? Or were they randomly the best available? I have a mediocre seat for Seattle (can't do Portland, cuz I have killer seats for an Elvis Costello show here that night), but if a really primo seat pops up for Seattle, I might eat the other one...

check TM just saw floor seats for $250 on best available. row 14, row 16

I'm in row 6, seat 4, and very pleased.... At 7 PM today, there's a slew of new seats at the standard price, including several in section 103 (one of my favorite spots) in row G....If you know someone who wants to go, spread the word.....

Oh, BTW, they're tickets on the map. I looked at Seattle and Fresno a few hours ago, and they appear to be totally out. I was amazed to see that some good tickets are available for Vancouver, including a front row seat for the first night. I won't be going, but I hope a true fan gets those seats.

Yeah, row 14-16 isn't quite good enough for me - I'm spoiled! I've been row 5, 5, 3 & 3 for the last few shows I've seen, all for no more than $250. My last experience was so perfect, that I was tempted to not go this time. In fact, if it were still "out there", I know I wouldn't have gone. I'm just hoping to add another 8 or so never-performed-live-FOR-ME songs to my list. I've managed 124 different songs since '89, so "sing the changes" Paul!

Hey Portlanders... Do any of you know of any complete recordings circulating of his 2005 show there? I've looked for one for, well, about a decade, without luck. I found a Phish trader once who claimed to have one, but he wouldn't answer my emails. Anyway, if you do, please contact me! Sorry if this is an inappropriate message here. I've been here for years, but only on an infrequent basis...

Ordered Gold VIP and haven't received an email from TM yet with package details. They said it would happen approx a week before the show. Has anyone received theirs yet?

The emails come from SLO Customer Service, not TM. You might want to check your spam filter. If you have a gold seat, it really won't have much new info in it, since you should already have your ticket.

Thanks, was looking for TM. Got it! I am printing the tix but they said there'd be an email a week ahead of time with details on the other stuff.

Well, I caved! Already had tickets for Seattle and Vancouver, but decided I didn't want to miss Portland, so I got myself a ticket on StubHub. I'll be driving down from Seattle after work on Friday (not sure what time I'll be able to get away), and wanted to solicit advice from you good people on where/how to park for the show. Are there lots near the venue that are likely to have availability? Any cheap (and safe) parking nearby? What about transit? Any park and rides on the way down from Seattle that would make sense to park the car and hop on the light rail? Thanks!
-
Hello Bigmark, and welcome to Portland. We've got a terrific transit system, and most of the MAX lines will take you right to the Moda Center (formerly Rose Garden Arena). You can see the lines on the transit website.... http://www.trimet.org All the parking around the arena is pretty spendy, and runs till evening, so parking at a park and ride stop (see Trimet map for that) would be your best bet. A $5 all day pass will get you anywhere in the system, on buses, MAX, and our streetcar (trolley). Just park the car at a park and ride and take a MAX train (preferably blue or green; the red line ends early because it goes to the airport.) If you're staying downtown (?), you can leave your car at the hotel and take the MAX to the show. Have you thought about taking the Bolt Bus? The train station (if you're taking Amtrak) is also linked to the MAX lines. But you're driving, yes? Hmmmm.....try looking at the transit map on Trimet's website, choose an eastside park and ride, and then hop the MAX from there. I think that's your best bet.

Hey again, Bigmark. The Yellow Line has two stops you can try: Expo Center, and Delta Park. Both are along I-5 as you come into town. If you arrive in the evening, most of the commuters will be gone. Cheerio, and mind how you go....
-
Ticketmaster just released more seats on the floor....way in the back, but if you like 'em, take 'em, or spread the word.....

Thanks a lot merseyheart! I think that's probably what I'll do. If I happen to be running super late, I can just keep driving to the venue and pay whatever for parking nearby, but I should be able to get out of work at a reasonable hour on Friday to make it down there in plenty of time. Can't wait!

They're still there. Maybe there'll be a price drop tomorrow. There's like 25+ seats.
