I suddenly long to hear "MacArthur Park" sung by British actor Richard Harris and will look it up on YouTube. I love Jimmy Webb songs (usually) and this one is so emotional, and Harris sings this with beautiful heartrending dramatic emotion, with deep feeling

I saw that ages ago, and it's awesome! Reckon Paul could do that live? I wouldn't mind hearing him have a go!

Really? I'd love to see him do that one! Most of the others are available on you tube.

Can't believe I included "Venus" by Bananarma ops: I never liked that song, at all...sounds like robots are "singing" it, no emotion and it's a boring flat kinda tune, and too 80's in the worst sense Some of my other choices are pretty tacky, too. Cheese ball.

Don't know why but that song "Claire" by Gilbert O'Sullivan was playing in my head...my God, are the lyrics kind of pervy? Hinting a bit of pedophile, or rather, are they cute and sweet. One supposes he intended the latter. One hopes :

Thanks, that was interesting, Macsback. I had a feeling someone would take up for ol' Gilbert! He wasn't wildly talented, but I think "Clair" was probably his best song, you think?
