RIP Michael Jackson 1958-2009!
-
Honestly the greatest pop star 1980s onward. Such a shame that he died. Now I suspect that he may not have, based on all of the stress and the controversy surrounding him. Anybody have tickets to his "This Is It" gigs?
-
What I mean by me thinking that he may be alive, maybe he wanted to escape all of the press and controversy that was laid upon is name. Maybe he just wanted to live undisturbed.

It's very sad about Paris, but it should not be discussed in a public forum. It's a very private matter.
-
not that private...it was on ET & is in the news.

That doesn't make it right to discuss it, and the family asked for privacy. Their wishes should be respected.
-
no one was even discussing it...someone just reported it. Probably not that much interest here. But it totally was on the news & is news. So it is something to think about. Poor kid she's only 15.

Michael Jackson for me is the Quincy Jones produced trilogy of "Off the Wall", "Thriller" and "Bad". Jones came from jazz and managed to get the music on the same level as Jackson as a singer and artist. It was something more than song and dance numbers, it became music you might as well sit down and listen to. In this, there is also the classic collaboration with McCartney.
