Too many McCartney contenders. My choice -- hands-down -- is Robbie Robertson [1987]. Phenomenal.

Good choice. I loved this and Lou Reed's New York from the late 80's

I know it's a stereotypical choice and I'm about 40 years too late, but I listened to Carole King - Tapestry this morning in the car and I was blown away.
-
Such a tough question...I'm going to have to list four (okay, five) favorite albums, which is a nice way of not making a choice. ) Beatles Abbey Road Geggy Tah Sacred Cow (anyone else heard of Geggy Tah?) Guster Lost and Gone Forever Gorillaz Self Titled Paul McCartney Ram
-
Remasters heaven...Right now it's a toss up between The Who - Quadrophenia and Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. The sound on both is unbelievable. You will hear sounds buried in the mix for almost 40 years! Great stuff!

fantastic album

The Rolling Stones 1978 album Some Girls is a great album (my favourite by them) it's the first to have Ronnie Wood as a full member and him and Keiths guitar really mix together nicely. 'Miss you' is a great song with a cool disco beat and my favourite track is 'Far away eyes' which has a country plodding rhythm to it and Ronnie does an excellent job on lap steel guitar.

I love this album too, their best after "Exile on Main Street", "Sticky Fingers" and "Let It Bleed". "Far Away Eyes" is indeed a great song, love it when the Stones do country like this song, "Honky Tonk Women" or "Bob Wills Is Still The King". Another great songs from this album are "Some Girls", "Before They Make Me Run" and "Beast of Burden".

Isn't it ironic that so many legendary rock bands' biggest singles include their disco hits? Rod Stewart, Blondie, Wings, Rolling Stones...

He played in the BaB sessions but Some Girls was first with him as a full member. Before that was he was temporary/still in the Faces
