Hendrix Ibsen:
I remember the Brazilian heavy band Sepultura played at Kalvøya Festival in 1996, it's the most heavy concert I've ever been to. I have their "Roots" album from this period, not sure what you might call the vocal style of the lead singer, my throat is finished in three seconds if I try to sound like him. It's a bit like "Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight" only ten times rawer.
The max calvera era of sepultura was the best arise , chaos aand beneath the ramains are my favs I lost interest after the new front man took over I'm going to see the calvera conspiracy in a couple of months as well if you haven't checked them out yet I highly recomend them

Iron Maiden Is 'Extremely Optimistic' About BRUCE DICKINSON's 'Full Recovery' British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden remain "extremely optimistic" about the "full recovery" of their lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, who recently underwent a seven-week course of chemotherapy and radiology to treat a small cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue. In a new post on MAIDEN's official web site, the band writes: "Over the last few days, Bruce has been to see his specialists and following examinations, including visual, we're delighted to update everyone that the situation remains extremely optimistic for a full recovery. We will still not have final confirmation that the cancer has been completely eradicated until Bruce can have an MRI scan in May, as previously advised in Rod's [Smallwood, IRON MAIDEN's manager] recent message to the fans on this site, and the period to full recovery will continue for a few months yet. "Typically Bruce's immediate reaction to the specialists' good news was to be as active as feasibly possible, taking in a couple of visits to the MAIDEN office, one to the Hybrid Air Vehicle hangar to see latest progress, and a brief trip to his local pub, much to the surprise and delight of all his friends there! "We just wanted to share this latest piece of good news with all MAIDEN's fans and, as usual, we'll continue to keep you all updated officially on Bruce's progress, on the IRON MAIDEN website." MYSTERY SURROUNDS BLACK SABBATH AS THEY PULL OUT OF TOKYO OZZFEST 9th April 2015 Black Sabbath have pulled out of the Ozzfest in Japan in November and top of the bill will now be a solo show by Ozzy Osbourne. No reason has been given for Sabbath's decision to pull out and mystery surrounds the situation. A statement from the band reads: "Despite previous reports, Black Sabbath will not appear on this year's Ozzfest Japan, the show will instead feature the festival's namesake, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends)." The gig was announced last month when Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife and manager, issued a video statement saying: "Ozzfest will be back in Japan on November 21st and 22nd. And this will be Black Sabbath's farewell. We're also announcing Korn, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Now you can't miss that." Source: http://www.metaltalk.net

BREAKING NEWS: TONY IOMMI POSTS POSITIVE HEALTH UPDATE AFTER BLACK SABBATH PULL OUT OF OZZFEST Tony Iommi has posted an update within the last hour, apparently to dispel rumours about his health which probably began after Black Sabbath pulled out of the Ozzfest in Japan in November, news that we brought you this morning. A statement from the band reads: "Despite previous reports, Black Sabbath will not appear on this year's Ozzfest Japan, the show will instead feature the festival's namesake, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends)." Sabbath have given no reason for their decision to pull out and Tony posted the following message just after 6.30 this evening: "Thank you for all the enquiries about my health, very kind. I?m not sure how the rumour of my being unwell started as I was away on holiday! Once you?ve had something like lymphoma the fear that it will return never leaves, all I can say is that right now I?m fine and have regular blood tests." Source: http://metaltalk.net

This is a one-off Ozzfest event for 2015. They have been holding them every couple of years as one-off events since their heday in the early 2000s though. They held one in the US in 2010 and another in Japan in 2013.

BBC News 21/04/2015 AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd pleads Guilty Phil Rudd, drummer of Australian rock band AC/DC, has changed his plea to guilty on a charge of a threat to kill, at a court in Tauranga, New Zealand. The court heard he had asked for a former employee to be "taken out" because he was angry his solo album had not performed well. Mr Rudd, who had denied the charges, also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and methamphetamine. One second charge of a threat to kill has been dropped for lack of evidence. Australian-born Mr Rudd was arrested at his home in the coastal town in November last year and has since been out on bail. The court heard on Tuesday that he had fired a number of employees in August after his solo album, Head Job, flopped in the charts. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-32391010
