Thought I glimpsed something about the Stones breaking up (?)...saddened if so, always thought they're real tough. Or "tuff" If they've called it quits, does that mean some of them or all of them can't write songs anymore? Awful if they've "lost it" to that extent

I saw Marilyn Manson last thursday in London. And it was AMAZING! I tell you now, those who are writitng this man off as over and done witgh, you're wrong. HNe still has his ofre in him and the show was immense. He has been known for playing some lack lustre gigs over the past 3-4 years but seems to be un an upper at the moment. brilliant! And the support band was Lacuna COil, established in thier own right, and they were good to! Marilyn Manson has a huge Lennon influence as well. The Beatles and Metal: Well, some do try to claim the Beatles invoted this genre to, just like they have claimed The Beatles invented Hip Hop! No, the bealtes didn't. However, they did contribute some key tracks in the ealry years of Metals development, namely the songs Helter Skelter (check out Motley Crues version- hot!) and I Want You (She's So Heavy). Lennon also claimed that Ticket To Ride was an early metal song. I disagree, but he has a point.

I have been a big Megadeth fan since the 80's they were my first concert in 1990 on the Rust In Peace tour. For my money Rust In Peace is the greatest thrash album ever. Many might disagree but that is my view. (as a matter of fact I am going to listen to it now) Did you go to the Guitar Center thing that Dave appeared at?

I like Megadeth, I have thier 2005 greatest hits (back to the Start) and the 2005 remix/remaster (and overdubbed) Rust in Peace. Should get some more at some point. I'm very interested in Mustaine the man, have his biography that I intend to read at some point. Some of his latest sayings have been waffle though, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, some things I can agree with. It's cool you met him I'm really excited for the new Stone Sour album and upcoming gigs! Steve Harris has a side project called British Lion whose album is released in a few weeks, next I think. Quite a surprise as those in the know know that Mr Harris is the least likely member of Maiden to have a side project! Should be good, good reviews so we'll see.

^ Awsome! Surprised to hear that Mustaine is doing another album in its entiry tour as he is on record as saying the Rust In Peice tour a few years back was difficult for that reason. ANyway, week after nest I'm seeing Marilyn Mansona nd Rob Zomebie on the Twins of Evil tour when it hits London. Massive fan of Manson so looking forward. Hopefully this gig will be just as excellent as he was back in July at Brixton. With Zombie, I only know the Hellbilly Deluxe album (and know it very well) so just hope his set I can enjoy. And after that 2 nights of Stone Sour at Brixton, can't wait!
-
the last time i saw zombie was whe he was touring with alice cooper and the murder dolls but his voice was totally shot,he had larengites (sp?) but he continued on like a trooper for your info, the first hellbilly deluxe was the best one out of his solo carear in my opinion, after that,he went down to s***t but love his white zombie materel. i wish they comback and reform

Unfortunately at the last minute I was not able to see the Countdown Anniversary tour, how was it? Did they do a good job recreating the album? I am hoping they go around doing the album one more time so I can try and see it.

Sounds great!! I really wish I didn't miss the show. I am hoping they will swing through again playing the album (but I doubt it) I was able to see "Rust In Peace " 3 times when they toured for that Anniversary and I loved it. That's great about the DVD, I look forward to seeing it.
