If you look upthread, I posted a News item about Lemmy cancelling single gig in Brazil at the end of April. This new UK/European tour will be scheduled for late in 2015 (most likely November) so hopefully all his health issues will be behind him.

Yeah I clicked to it and saw after Thanx though

McCartney and Lemmy, couldn't that be a fun combination?
-
Kinda 2 different genres at that That would be weird.

Have Lemmy ever sung a ballad? I think I have two LPs with Motorhead, "Orgasmatron" and "Ace of Spades" and I can't remember that there is something like a ballad even. I remember my elder brother had some Hawkwind LP's back in the day, that I've never gotten around to buy myself. I thought they were pretty psychedelic, so maybe they can meet in a Fireman Project.

When James Brown played Woodstock '99, he included a tribute to Jimi Hendrix in his set and rocked those kids! (skip ahead to around 5:20 if you wanna skip the funky stuff): James Brown - Funk On Ah Roll/Jimi Hendrix Tribute (live @ Woodstock '99):

I like metal once in a while. I don't have the energy for hard rock around the clock. If I listened to a Pearl Jam album I need to weigh it up with something quieter on next record I play. Think I've always been that way. I listened to Chris de Burgh when I was twelve, "Crusader"... adult contemporary epic love ballads, not just rock.

If you listen to 'I Ain't No Nice Guy', 'One More xxx Time' and 'Love Me Forever', that's the nearest Motorhead comes to a ballad. There are also softer songs like '1916' 'God Was Never on Your Side' and 'Whorehouse Blues' that are softer than the bands usual output.

FACT: Heavy Metal has the largest fan base. I love metal particularly Iron Maiden, Metallica & Motorhead. I also like Black Sabbath, Scorpions & Judas Priest. The list goes on.

Great to know that their are Motorhead & other heavy metal fans like yourself on this site. Iron Maiden will be releasing a new CD later this year. Bruce Dickinson is thankfully cancer free & hope they tour in '16. UP THE IRONS! Cheers!
