FINALLY got to use my tickets for The Who! Overall, they were great! We had excellent seats in the front row of our section 205. The opener (Tal Wilkenfeld) served up a drowsy 45 minutes from 7:30-8:15...then at 8:45 that all changed real quick as The Who began their solid two hours of ROCK! The band is fantastic...Zak Starkey being the shining star of it all. Roger's voice was "with it" for about 60% of the show...and I don't think it has anything to do with the length of the show either. It's simply his old man voice setting in. His lows are VERY boomy lows, his mids/highs get weak and strained easily, and he has a funny little falsetto! Pete, on the otherhand, is in full-on croaky old man voice...transition complete. "I'm One" took on a whole new meaning hearing Pete sing it now. They actually dropped "Eminence Front" seconds before playing it because Pete couldn't sing it and did the elusive "Slip Kid" instead! But still, it was a solid setlist...a greatest hits "plus" kind of affair with 50% of the original band supposedly on their FINAL farewell I don't regret it in the least, but I'm happy with this one experience and do not long for another!

It was so nice to see Zak playing with them, wasn't it? Never a bad show with the Who! Sounds like fun!

I'm heading for a SHOWDOWN!! Got my tickets for Uncle Jeff at Radio City in September I can't wait!! Now I just need Paul to drop some dates that are a more reasonable distance. Gotta keep the streak going at least one show each year since 2007 Springsteen State College PA Alice Cooper Morristown NJ Ringo Starr and The All Starr Band Staten Island NY Jeff Lynne New York NY Brian Wilson Easton PA
-
Got my ticket for Jeff as well!!! I'm soooooo, excited hoping he plays All My Life, Twilight, Your Truly and Last Train To London...... The whole a Time album...would be a dream!! Anyway, it's going to be awesome!!
-
They are only playing NYC and LA which is annoying. hate it when bands ignore the rest of the country. I want to see them but would have to plan some travel and I missed the ticket sales. Boo.

Bruce was incredible. Played the whole River Album plus 11 song encore. Setlist was: Meet Me In the City ---The River Album---- Badlands Because the Night Brilliant Disguise Meeting Across the River (Tour Premiere) Jungleland Thunder Road ENCORE: Born to Run Dancing in the Dark Rosalita Tenth Avenue Freeze Out Shout Incredible show. He's only played Glory Days once this tour, and it was a sign request... But you have plenty of other good songs to look forward to.

Got second row tickets today for Mike Love & Bruce Johnston's Beach Boys at The Kennedy Center this summer performing with the National Symphony Orchestra. Should be incredibly cool to hear their catalog with the symphony behind them at such a grand concert hall.

Was that your first time seeing Bruce? My favorite part of this tour is hearing the River album. And technically, the encore started with Born to Run,. The section of songs from Badlands to Thunder Road was part of the main set.

Looks like a fab sbow! Cant wait to hear it in full, looks like there'll be many changes compared to when i saw him back in 2013, though the encore doesnt seem to alter that much.

It's done so in the past, but for the US leg of this tour, his encores have gotten kind of stagnant. Some fans are hoping he will open the setlist up more once he gets to Europe, but we shall have to see. There is also a lot of griping from fans because he hasn't been playing many outtakes from the box set, or changing up the post-River sets as much as he used to. Springsteen fans are spoiled.

Compared to other artists Bruce gives his fans a lot of different variety between each show. Have been lucky myself as before he played the whole of Darkness on the edge of Town in full, and now The River. Have you been to one of his shows this tour?

I have been to several. I think that The River album is the highlight of his shows right now. It's being performed beautifully. The other songs are just bonuses.
