Sgt._Pepper:
I just read a concert report from Tom Frangione, a writer for Beatlefan magazine, among other things, and I saw this interesting tidbit: "The remaining tickets were distributed to fan club members selected from the paulmccartney.com website registry... For those of us selected at random from the website registry, calls were made the night before the show from the Crowd Surge ticket office, advising of the show and that Paul wanted some real fans to be there (recalling the old Wings Fun Club modus operandi). No other details such as the show time or venue were shared; all we were told is that a follow-up email would be forthcoming. A few hours later, the email arrived, providing only an address to pick up the wristbands (we could bring a guest and get two) between 4 and 9 pm, meaning the show would be a late one. Upon arriving at the hospitality suite to get the wristbands, guests were each given a single long stem rose, and an envelope with foil hearts and some chocolate kisses. Photos were taken of couples in front of a holiday themed backdrop complete with teddy bears, balloons, hearts and flowers. Most importantly, the venue and instructions to line up at 9:30 were also provided." I realize that they can't do a lot of Valentine's Day themed stuff they did for every show (obviously), but has anyone ever heard of Paul's people selecting people for gigs via the website's registry?
Whatttttt, seriously? That's great !

Thanks to all of you who were there for your first-hand reports! love to hear them! Please keep the details coming! Anybody see any celebs inside? I saw that Steve VanZandt and Springsteen were there? Setlist...not surprising. Just like the San Antonio show, he took the regular set and pared it down, with a couple of adds. I think the last time he did NOT do Yesterday was the Electric Proms gig in 2007? Interesting about the CrowdSurge calls. Does sound like the FunClub days of old!

There was a couple on line who said they got a call and follow up email from crowd surge, and that's how they got the tickets. She said she wasn't registered with PM.com. She also didn't remember when the last time was that she bought tickets from crowd surge
They got a random call from Crowd Surge, they don't remember the last time she bought tix from Crowd Surge, and they weren't registered with the website and still got tickets? That doesn't make any sense.
hahaha too funny, so they did call people out of The New York area. Hummmm

Yes, I heard a similar story from a fellow. How he got a phone call out of the blue on Friday from a woman at crowdsurge asking if he'd be interested in attending the secret concert in NYC. He told them yes and he got an email with the details. He traveled a long distance Saturday but he made it to be there! Paul asked the audience "How many of you are from New York City?" Got a roar response. And then he asked how many are not from New York City and he got a sizable response to that too. He welcomed them, too. Speaking of getting tickets, here's a NY Daily News story: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/couple-scores-extra-paul-mccartney-ticket-daily-news-article-1.2115919
if they would have called me I would have went and I'm on the west coast

I guess it's come to random "One After 909" performances or the later-placement of "Jet" IS shaking things up. I was just asking some friends if it was dumb of me to wonder why Macca and his band haven't worked out their own arrangement of "FourFive Seconds."

I thought he might have done that actually - not sure I can see him proclaiming that he's four five seconds from wildin' mind you!

Thanks Rocky. Appreciate it.

To anybody who was there.. How was Rusty's solo in One After 909? Past times it's pretty removed from George's 69 solo. Was it more faithful to that or pretty much looser?

Thanks for the reports and videos, very exciting, brings back memories of when I managed to go to the Stones club show in Paris at the Trabendo...no cameras or even phones allowed though, at least I know that what I remember I saw it with my own eyes Hope Paul plays a few more of these shows in years to come...
