When GREAT singers keep their chops!

I found an EPK for "Give My Love to London" here:
Here I found "Hold On Hold On" w/ Sean Lennon (from "Easy Come Easy Go"): -
Her newer stuff sounds great, not unlike Bob Dylan's newer stuff. Love that guitar solo! As far as vocal-comparisons go, I have no recollection how she sang when she was younger. Should I keep it that way?

I'm fond of her early stuff too, her voice was kind of angelic, you have the catchy pop version of her on the "Marianne Faithfull" album and folk/pop on "Come My Way", or "North Country Maid" from 1966, maybe me favorite of her early works. I have most of her albums in my collection, except "Love in a Mist" I think, an hard to find 1967 album. And her last until the country pop album "Dreaming My Dreams" from the mid-70s', before the real comeback with "Broken English" in 1979.

Scott Walker. I love his early stuff, the pop songs with The Walker Brothers in the 60s. And the Scott albums 1-4. It's very beautiful. And he has an amazing voice. I also love the creativity and the darker vibes of his recent albums, "Tilt" (1995), "The Drift" (2006) and "Bish Bosch" (2012). Last year he collaborated with Sunn O))) on "Soused". Here is a wild inventive avant garde track from "Bish Bosch"; "Epizootics!":
"Farmer in the City" (from "Tilt" 1995) -
Found a couple of my favorite The Walker Brothers songs on youbube: First Love Never Dies (1965)
No Regrets (1975) Angels of Ashes (1969) from "Scott 4" "Thanks For Chicago Mr. James" (1970) -
Didn't expect such a MANLY voice to come outta' that guy's mouth.

Yeah, a baritone, I think... I love his voice, I consider him up there with Elvis and my favorite singers. it's a warm and rich voice, very likeable to my ears. I'm playing a box set on my stereo with The Walker Brothers complete right now, "Everything Under the Sun". I found "The Electrician" on youtube. It's from the last The Walker Brothers album "Nite Flights" (197, possibly considered a turning point in Scott Walker's recording career, darker and he will only release one studio album every decade ahead.

R&B group Next had a HUGE hit in '97 called "Too Close." In 2012, they re-formed, not only looking great sounding vocally just like they did back in the day: Next - Too Close [Ladies Night Out Live @ Washington State]:

Last I heard the great Judy Collins still retained her silvery ethereal singing voice

At 65, Ann Wilson is still pretty badass. And she's taken good care of her voice. Her side-project, The Ann Wilson Thing, is doing well -- they play only covers, but they are songs that influenced her as a force in her main band Heart.

Carlene Carter has a new album out (she's quite a survivor) and it's reportedly quite pleasing to the ears I had an album by her that I liked. She's Johnny Cash's stepdaughter and June Carter Cash's daughter
