What an amazing show! With this being the third time I have seen him I am still completely BLOWN AWAY by the amount of energy he puts into this show! He did a bit of Yellow Submarine for Ringo's Birthday (Was hoping for Birthday, but still a great tribute) all The Beatles were represented tonight! This was the first time being on the floor and I could feel SO MUCH more energy in the crowd then I ever did in the stands for one of his shows! I personally would rate this as the best concert I have ever been to, all of the "New" songs worked great live and from 2010 the last time he played in Pittsburgh I feel as if the setlist was changed up quite a bit with new additions of Wings songs and solo material. I really hope I will get the opportunity to see him again soon, but I was letting it all sink in having been so close to him now and just what he means to me as a musician and human being and all of the history that he has been apart of. I hope he continues to go on strong for years to come! Thanks Paul!

No "on my way to work" tonight. Also yellow sub was just an off the cuff chorus not the entire song. He mentioned it was both Ringo's BD as well as his Dad's. Sorry if repeat info it is nearly 2 am an i am exhausted!

He should have played "Put It There" for his dad...

What a wonderful evening! I'm so happy...Paul's the only artist so far that I've traveled out-of-area to see perform for a reason! First off, I was about 15-20 yards away from him when he arrived into the venue, and saw him waving from the vehicle That was an unexpected surprise as I assumed he was already there by the time I arrived. That's by far the closest I've ever been to Paul When we were finally let into the building, I tried looking at some of the merch but the crowd was just too large and I thought I'd come back later to make my purchases. I noticed I could hear the Soundcheck at that point so I got as close as I could to that area, JUST as they started playing Alligator!!! That was one of my wishes, to hear that and I figured it wouldn't be in the regular setlist. Even hearing it from outside, it sounded GREAT. The only other song I was able to make out was Every Night, as the building was getting more crowded with people talking, etc. by then. Even though I went to another concert on this tour last year, and knew more or less what to expect, it was still very exciting and exhilirating to me. The buildup in the audience leading up to Paul coming out was incredible, and oh my gosh I was so much closer to him and the stage than last year! Even though numerically I was further back, the venue was smaller and my seat was much closer to the aisle and the center than last year (though they were both on the right-side section). That was another wonderful surprise...I could actually really see Paul in detail without having to look at the monitors the whole time! A few songs in, when there was a relative lull in the noise level of the crowd, I figured it was as good a chance as any for me to yell "I love you, Paul!"...to which he replied "Thank you"! I know it's not quite rare, and that it's happened to others and will again, it was still very special to me...for him to actually acknowledge me... He was so full of energy and seemed to be having a fantastic time...he was eerily youthful and looked wonderful...you would have never though that he's a 72 year old that had a recent illness that sent him to the hospital! Sassy and sexy as ever through the end of the show. I'm sure that it being only the second night of the tour had something to do with his energy level, too. Other highlights: 1. His little butt wiggles during the instrumental part of And I Love Her...he knows he's still got it! 2. The rising stage...I know some hate it but he was so much closer to the audience than the show I went to last year, it seemed to "connect" with the audience even more so. I was annoyed when people behind me were heckling him when he was talking about John before Here Today, though. Not cool. 3. Live And Let Die...always such an incredible experience to be able to feel the heat from the flames, and to feel the explosions...and the combination of the flames, fireworks and lasers. I wonder how hot it gets in the first few rows! No matter how many times I end up seeing that performance, it could never become boring for me. 4. Hi Hi Hi (and I am pretty certain he indeed sang 'body gun' instead of 'polygon') and Helter Skelter, two of my all time favorites, that were performed with as much gusto as when he was a fraction of the age he is now. At the end of the night, there was only one merch table left and it was even more crowded then before the show. I didn't end up getting anything (plus tons of people cut in front of me) because it either sold out or they ran out of my size. I'm just gonna order the stuff I wanted online instead, hopefully the site offers free shipping if you spend a certain amount... I can't wait until I see him next time

Thanks for sharing them, Mark! I loved them, especially the Paul and Rusty shots!

Nice photos! Did McCartney trim his hair? It looks better than in recent photos, where it seemed to be too long and whispy. It looks better in these concert shots.

Maybe just a new brand of hairspray? LOL. No...maybe he did get a bit of layering on the top.

PaulMcCartneyFan1 had it right. How surprising would it have been if they played "Put It There". Not putting down Macca's shows in the least. Paul and "my band" put on an amazing show and give all the fans their money's worth for sure. I just wished (especially for the true, hard core fans who attend at least one show on every tour) that they would have a little more sponaneity and a little surprise from show to show. It wouldn't take much for Paul and his team to look at the dates of each new tour and come up with a total one song surprise. For example, if it was Paul's Dad's birthday, Put it There would have been such a perfect song since it was his Dad's expression and was the song's inspiration. To do a 30 second snipit of Yellow Submarine for Ringo's birthday is hardly stunning for the hard core fan. At the beginning of each tour they could have these types of surprises up their sleeve. Put It There is a simpe but great little song. Before the tour have Rusty brush up on playing the song on his guitar and just have Paul sing it. Doesn't seem to be that difficult. And it doesn't have to be executed perfectly. It is the surprise that would matter the most. Whatever that one song surprise would be (like On My Way to Work in Albany), it would be one of the things talked about all over the press the following day. Again, I'm not criticizing the shows (I'm going to Jacksonville in October) but it is just an idea to make a concert even more exciting for the "real" fans.

There isn't much else for me to add other then what I already said, other then I felt that the "New" songs worked very well live! This is the 2nd show that I've seen on the "Out There" tour...Having seen him in DC last year the "New" songs were the only additions. Still I felt it was enough to freshen up the set for me personally and still enjoy the "classic" songs. The set did vary quite a bit from 2010 from the Up and Coming tour in Pittsburgh, so I could see if this were the 2nd time seeing him in the 'Burgh that there would be enough changes to appease those who had seen him before with still catering to those who have never gotten the chance the first time! Like I said, I am in awe in the energy and enthusiasm Paul still has! I thought the Yellow Submarine snippet was fun! Could he have done more? Sure! I think he represented quite a bit of history in his show and respectably showed love to all those who are no longer with him. That is just my opinion and I can respect everyone who disagrees! I will be sure to see Paul for a 4th time if I do get the chance!

That's mainly cos it was his 1st show after being "sick". So even the set list watch was well attended.

It amuses me to hear fans complain that McCartney isn't shaking things up enough in his setlist. Sure he has songs he always performs during every tour, but every since he formed his currently touring band, he has covered a lot of ground in his repertoire. Paul has been routinely moving things around in his setlist from show to show and tour to tour. And he does occasionally toss in a surprise song at certain venues. I always welcome surprises but overall have been happy with the changes he makes during each tour. And no, the press is not going to go ballistic over Paul adding a forgotten gem like "Put It There" into the setlist.

For the life of me, something like PUT IT THERE does not need to be played. HOWEVER, I will never understand why songs from the soundcheck are not rotated into the set. They PLAY them every day, it's not like they have to learn them or practice them. Play MATCHBOX one night. Then PENNY LANE one night. WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN'. C MOON. MIDNIGHT SPECIAL. Drag out TWENTY FLIGHT ROCK. If my band can kill it, certainly his band can. This would be the EASIEST thing to do, and yet it is not done. Have a spot in the set where one of these songs will be played on the spot. Or do three! Get RID of Ob La Di, Here Today, and Something, and do three songs from sound check.

Makes total sense, but then there would be less incentive to buy VIP tix.

I just thought the equipment was interesting, lol, not Pauls backside, lol, I keep shooting and delete the boring/bad shots later. Had to get a pic of the famous holy jeans the papparazzii made such a big deal about, lol
