Sam Leach:
Hi Giri (Paulfan). Yes, it really makes me proud and happy that the only ones who don't like Birth of The Beatles (Rocking City) are two of my bitter rivals from the Merseybeat days. And the irony is that I say nice things about them ....Oh well....oh well. Cheers Sam.
That is sad!!!! Say nice things about them then they don't like your book. I hope the reprint of Beatles on Broadway will make them like that. (I do hope you are still planning one, Sam) Oh, of course I've voted today. Oh, Giri, the book that you are talking about isn't too long at all. It's a good read though of about 300 pages...isn't it? It's a great book.

Sam Leach:
Thanks Sarah F, Starr, Sam C, Kathy, Paulfan, Jen & dB. Thanks for your support and votes. I've had a hard day of writing and I'm really shattered. And Liverpool got beat. Maccascruff: Yes I met with Brenda and we had a fun time. Cesar: (Cbimbi). Nice to have you back. I was wondering about you. Glad you're enjoying the book. I'll tell you a story about Patagonia later this week. Cheers all. I've got to get some sleep. Sam.
Sorry about Liverpool. Man Utd will have all they can handle when they play Arsenal soon. Cheers, Sam C.

Hi Sam C Man Utd are now 12 points behind Arsenal so they're in decline. And to rub things in Man City beat them yesterday 4-1. When we get a new manager who understands football we'll be back on top. The strong rumour is Kenny Dalgleish is waiting to come back. Cheers Sam.
-
Hi Sara (Starr). You are so lucky !! Go out this week and hire the Video Godfather. You're in for a treat watching one of the the best films ever. Then go and get Godfather 2. It's usually best in that order, heh, heh. Don't bother with Godfather 3...utter junk. Love and hugs Sam xx

Just found this Harrison for Hall of Fame By Scott Duggan, Evening Standard 15 March 2004 George Harrison is to be inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame today - five years after fellow Beatle Sir Paul McCartney scolded the organisation for ignoring him. The posthumous award comes 15 years after the Beatles as a group were elected to the hall in Cleveland, Ohio. As well as McCartney, the late John Lennon is also a solo artists member - meaning that Ringo Star is now the only Beatle not to have been inducted. When Sir Paul was recognised in a starstudded-ceremony in March 1999, looking on was his daughter Stella, wearing a T-shirt with the message "About f***ing time." To a roar of approval from the audience at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Sir Paul said "You've got me, you've got John in this how about George and Ringo? Come on guys." When George is inducted in the 19th annual ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York next week, his name will be joined by the likes of Prince, songwriter Jackson Browne, Bob Seger, Traffic and ZZ Top.

Hi Cesar (Cbimbi). I promised to tell you a story about Patagonia. My Dad was a seaman which is how he met my Mother in St John's Newfoundland in 1933. But he was lucky to be there...and therefore so am I to be here today. On his first voyage as a 15 year old cabin boy, his ship The `SS Beacon Grange' was shipwrecked on Oliver Bank, Rio Gallegos, Patagonia Argentina on September 6th 1921, during a terrible storm. And my Dad couldn't swim !! His shipmate, Billy Lacey I think, lashed him to my Dad's seamans trunk, threw him overboard and Dad floated in to shore and safety. Sadly, Billy drowned. I still have his trunk...and a great photo with my dad, looking about 7 years old, at the back holding up a banner with the name of the ship. There was just one lady on the photo, further proof of the old Mariner's superstition that having a female on board was bad luck. BTW I don't subscribe to that view. I adore the ladies !! Cheers Sam.

Sam, I guess the book got all sold out of stores. I don't remember seeing it at teh stores ever. If I decided to order the book I'll let you know.
-
Our Sam is only up by 13 points this morning, so go vote. Glad you got to meet Brenda and her friends. I had told her you might be having surgery and they would all have been disappointed not to see you.
-
Hi Paulfan It was in all the major book stores and Amazon...but sold out. Let me know when you're ready. You'll REALLY enjoy it. Hi Maccascruff Thanks for all your votes.....we're staying ahead. Brenda and Jamie have gone down to London today and I'll be seeing them again tomorrow afternoon. I won't be getting my surgery yet so believe it or not I'm playing golf in the morning. But only because I have a `ride-on' buggy. I certainly would struggle if I had to walk all that way. Love and hugs Sam xx
-
Hi Mike. I was wondering where you'd got to but I know this is a BUSY year for you. I hope your man wins. That was a nice piece about George....and Paul's remarks. Cheers. Sam.
-
Good morning Sam, I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. Have fun at golf-I hope you hit a hole-in-one Love and hugs, ~Tashi
-
Hi Tashi. Thanks for that wish. If I had to walk though I'd get a hole in one...one hour. I actually did get one many years ago and in a competition which is better. Love and hugs. Sam xx
-
Okay Sam I'll let you know when I'm ready. I look forward to the film.
